A Few Words On Pricing: A fellow headshot photographer once said (in regard to pricing for headshots): “If you don’t have $1200 (for shots) you don’t have a career.” I can totally understand how some actors would feel that’s a really high price for headshots. And, if you’re looking at it as an expense and not an investment, it certainly IS a lot. But headshots (acting classes, marketing materials, etc.) are NOT expenses. They’re INVESTMENTS in your career in which you can expect to see a return. My most successful clients, who continue to work consistently, are the actors that realize the difference between an expense and an investment. The drinks you had last night are an expense. The studio time spent working on a voice over reel is not. All that being said, I don’t charge half that for headshots. If you book ONE single commercial, AT SCALE, you have paid for a headshot session with me PLUS hair and make-up WITH MONEY TO SPARE FOR A DRINK AFTER THE SESSION
