Whoo! So I actually finished Inktober. Really didn’t think I would. Rather than upload 31 crappy drawings, I’ve added them all to one post. The quality of most of these really isn’t my best but hay… I made myself draw every day which was a challenge in itself for me I guess.

Worst witch INSPIRED, I know they don’t have wands...at least I don't recall seeing any wands in the show.. or frogs as familiars :P but watevs tis fun to draw her :D. I don’t want to talk about how many things are out of proportion in this image.. a soul can only take so much shame D: Its worth it for the frog :P

The difference a warm up and a small amount of experience makes… Both these images were drawn by me within a short time of each other. The image on the left was drawn when I first got my iPad and I was all too keen to rush into a great drawing and show how my new drawing tool was money well spent (cus I ain’t rich an this fancy slate cost me a year worth of debt…) ANYWAY on reflection, I think I wasn’t amazed by my first attempt but apparently I was pleased enough to bother to colour it in.. I knew I’d done much better though. Fast forward a couple of months and I’m very much at home with my tablet and drawing tools I use. I decide to have another go at my first tablet drawing.  It’s worth noting that in between this time and the last I haven’t been studying or practising drawing much. I have a design job sure, but it’s often lame boring layout and UI buttons I’m creating.. before this drawing I watched and drew from a YouTube life drawing video as a warm up. I remember from university that my pre warm up drawings were utter sh*te and I think this here proves that. I’m sure in a couple of years the one on the right will also look sh*t to me but at the moment the jump between the first and the second is a whole other level. So basically: Don’t draw just cus you feel you should and secondly, WARM UP! Do some pre-drawings from life to get you thinking in 3 dimensions!! Cuz it defiantly helps !!

Mermaid :). I’m trying to get into the habit of drawing things that have a little bit of a story behind them or that show ‘something’ happening...Rather than your standard ‘pretty pan faced woman headshot staring into the distance’ that I (and I'm sure many others) find so easy to end up drawing when I'm bored and being lazy. 

She’s still kinda a bit ‘pan faced’... but the little fish I think adds something...? The image is very flat and way too green/blue but then again If I liked what I drew then I’d never know what to improve on next time -* sips tea... contemplates life.

Female DBZ character design, for funzies.... DBZ needed more fighting ladies :P . I got an iPad to draw on with Apple Pencil Yay!! This is the first thing I've drawn on it that looks somewhat presentable. I still miss Photoshop though :/... (The proper desktop version)

Goku, my all time favourite cartoon character from back in the day. I can’t remember at what age his tail came off so he may be drawn wrong :0. I think I'll be using this style more, it's super quick :) I like messy.
