100 Faces 2020 Day 8 Day 8 for #the100dayproject is a quick pencil sketch. I’ve wanted to practice making smaller faces, and since I was short on time today, it seemed like the perfect time to do so.
100 Faces 2020 Day 7 Today’s #the100dayproject face is another pencil sketch. I’ve been playing around bringing forth images intuitively and this is who came through today.
100 Faces 2020 Day 6 Today’s #the100dayproject face is an Easter-themed pencil sketch.
100 Faces 2020 Day 5 Today’s #the100dayproject face was created using graphite, Posca pens, acrylics, and Tombow dual brush pens.
100 Faces 2020 Day 4 Today’s #the100dayproject face was inspired by artist Sal Scheibe's Personal Stargazer mixed media workshop. I used watercolor, white and gold gel pens, white India Ink, and a black fineliner pen.
100 Faces 2020 Day 3 Today’s #The100DayProject face was inspired by Katrina Koltes "Be Brave" lesson. I used Derwent water soluble graphite pencils, white and black acrylic paint, and magenta watercolor.

Day 2 of #the100dayproject was inspired by this video on shading with Tombow dual brush pens by artist Karen Campbell. I started with a pencil sketch and then added several layers of Tombow brush pens activating them with water then letting them dry before adding the next layer. Then I added a few details with a black Faber-Castell PITT artist pen.

Moonshine 2019 New Moon in Scorpio
This is my new moon spread for Effy Wild’s Moonshine course. I originally created something similar in Procreate (see second photo), and now that I’m feeling more confident in my abilities thanks to my daily face practice, I decided to see if I could recreate it in my art journal. I’m really happy with the results. I used QOR and Daniel Smith watercolors along with acrylic paint.

100 Faces Day 45 Day 45/100 Faces - I decided to redraw yesterday’s face. The sketch turned out differently, but it was close enough. Used watercolor and Tombow dual brush pens this time.

Day 44/100 Faces – I added color to this one, but the paper didn’t hold up and neither did the supplies I used. I spent several hours trying to recover her, but it didn’t work out so well. Luckily I took a photo of the pencil sketch. I may try this same face again tomorrow to see if I can do better.

I just realized I forgot to post my faces for the last couple of days. Today I spilled water on my sketchbook and ruined a couple of them, but luckily I had taken photos!

100 Faces Day 39 Another profile today done with Ecoline brush pens, Elegant Writer pen, and black and whit Stabilo-all pencils. She looks very witchy to me 🙂
