I'm totally here for it.
“When you’re different, sometimes you feel like a mistake. But you make her feel like she’s not a mistake at all. Like she’s better for being different.” - Will Byers
“It’s forced conforming. That’s what’s killing the kids. That’s the real monster.” - Eddie Munson
“Has it ever occurred to you that we don't want to be popular?” - Mike Wheeler
“You Shouldn't Like Things Because People Tell You You're Supposed To.” - Jonathan Byers
“Friends Don't Lie.” - Eleven
Writing Tip:
If you don’t feel like actually writing, prepare for writing:
Open your WIP Word doc
Read the last page again
Scribble notes on what happens next
Once you’ve done this, you might just find yourself wanting to continue after all. And if you don’t, no worries. You’ve made it easier to jump back into it later.
This always works for me! Really good advice!
Not every day has to count. Some days are for repairing, resting, mourning. You don't have to perform every day. Some days are for doing nothing. For sleeping all day or being on your phone. Relaxing is ok, allowed and encouraged. Do what you need to do.
sometimes the best thing we can do isn't to try and make it easier for ourselves; it's to make it more enjoyable. if you are doing something that you are used to 'powering through' becuase it's hard and necessary but you hate it -- answering emails, working out, drinking water, etc -- try to see if you can find unexpected joy. can you listen to your favorite playlist while you work out? can you listen to asmr or a podcast while you answer emails? put fun ice in your water? you deserve joy, and you can create it for yourself :))
I will be like "I'm fine" and then another fucking event will occur

growing up really is scary, deep down I’m still the same as when I was 16 and with no idea of what to do or how to start. and I’m stuck in my head while life goes on
Born to read my own story, forced to write it first.
