Another original song.
An original song written and recorded over the summer.
This 30-second animation was created for my Media Art module. The brief was 'Performing Identity in Cyberspace' and my project concept was to show how new identities can be created through social media by lying about who you really are.
A 30-second animated promotional video for Sea Shepherd, the marine wildlife conservation organisation. It aims to promote their Operation Relentless anti-whaling campaign and was produced as part of my Post Production module. The graphics were created in Adobe Illustrator and the animation itself was produced using Adobe After Effects.
This is an audio documentary I made about my great-grandfather who fought in the British Army during World War I. It looks at the physical and psychological traumas he suffered and how they affected his life in the aftermath of the war. The documentary was nominated for a Hybrid Student Media Award in April 2014.
Highlights from my DCUfm radio show Magical Mystery Hour, which celebrates the music and legacy of The Beatles. Taken from broadcasts in February and March 2014. Includes an interview with Stephen Kennedy, co-organiser of the Dublin Beatles Festival. Presented and produced by Sarah Stacey and Adele Ward.
A 7-minute video on the career of historical fiction author Andrew Hughes, produced for my video module this year. It was filmed using a Sony EX3 and edited in Final Cut Pro.
A short interview with Caoimhe Harris of DCU Harry Potter Society, produced for my video module this year. It was shot using a Sony EX3 and edited in Final Cut Pro.
The Bridge is a short film about a romantic encounter. It was shot on an iPhone 5 and edited in Final Cut Pro. It was produced for a group video project as part of my Digital Storytelling module in first year. I composed and recorded the music featured throughout the film, using a Zoom H4n.
An audio interview with DCU’s puppetry and communications lecturer, Martin Molony, on the art of puppetry. This was a group audio project for my Digital Storytelling module in first year.
