I have done nothing all summer but wait for myself to be myself again.

No because HE would’ve been like damn…
hello, monday! i have reports today and studying to do but i can’t wait to rest this week so i can prep for next week’s major exams 😵💫
Changing of the guard
March was definitely the most draining month I’ve had in a long time. I’m super ready for a fresh start in April.
“No matter how bad or slow things go, you're still way ahead of everyone who isn't even trying.” - Tony Robbins
Week of: February 13-19
“If this is it, please let me know”
Valentines week! I had an okay week with friends and all. Preparing new pieces for jazz band. Ending the week with hitting a goal I had for the year.
Weekly spread: February 20-26 2023
“When you love life, life will love you back”
Just another busy week with a woodwind sectional and some jazz band gigs
things to do on breaks during study sessions
make a Pinterest board of font/title ideas
use this time to make your notes pretty (I try to not do it during actual study time)
work on your Spotify playlists
tidy up your work area
if you're going to scroll on social media, try the studyblr/studygram etc. things, to keep your mind on task
read a chapter of your book
journal
make a snack
look at/add to your to-read list
reevaluate your to-dos for the day, check how much you have done
do a bujo page! I enjoy quick ones like "current favourite songs"
doodle
watch a TEDtalk
things to add to your journals
song lyrics for a specific mood
spotify codes for favourite songs
receipts from a trip
envelope for gifts from any small children you know
pages to press flowers in
ticket stubs
fortune cookie readings
daily three-card tarot pulls
watercolour paper for art
page cutouts
watercolours just in general
pressed flowers
other dried herbs
sketches (taped or glued in)
morning/evening routines
colour in the leftover paper backing from stickers and glue/tape it in
friendship bracelets that may have broken or come off
grocery lists or other shopping lists (glue in if written on other paper)
book quotes
block poetry (you'll have to take a page out of a book for this)
mental health goals
halloween: candy wrappers
fabric scraps
family recipes
different textured papers
stamps
coins
rainy days = an ungodly amount of mochas

ways to wake up better in the morning
set your alarm to a calm song enough to wake you up though (i use pretty venom by all time low)
have a dim light you can reach from your bed, turn it on as soon as you wake up (i really like salt lamps for this)
try to wash your face with cold/cool water once you get up
don't feel pressure to be insanely productive immediately after waking up. Give yourself time to make a coffee or tea, eat something, read for a bit
try to work with a lamp and not a big ceiling light, it'll shock your system less
prep the night before! i like to set my smoothies up so I can make them first thing. overnight oats are a popular option too,
don't eat a huge meal right away, but get something in your body.
have a routine
make your bed once you're up, you're less likely to climb back in it then
do not be too hard on yourself if you aren't insanely productive as soon as you're up
have a morning playlist that you can put on. mine is linked
listen to your body! sometimes, mornings aren't for everyone. that's ok <3
