poor Jackļ¼My heart just break for him(ļ¼ā²ā`)
That time Dot interrupted the neck touch.
Note the faces in the last oneā¦.
And no matter how hard I try or how many times Iāve seen this scene (and itās a disgraceful amount)Ā I cannot get past the thought that these two were phracking behind our backs. Ā
Right! I waffle back and forth on it, but this scene falls in the āiām for itā column. I think that itās Dot makes them a little more laidback, possibly? And sheās not shocked by it at all. Doesnāt mean they are doing the deed of course, and could just be that there have been more intimate-type moments. But yes. :)
Well, I think that after living with Phryne for a couple of years it takes a lot more than a neck touch to shock Dot. I mean, remember Ronaldo?
well I am in the not 21st phracking but maybe 20th century phracking going on - longer chats in the parlor maybe with Mr. B having called it a night - some slightly more lingering stolen touches as they play drafts - Miss Fisher passing him his hat and helping him on with his coat as she lets him out herself - maybe even a slow kiss goodnight on the cheek as he leaves.
I do not think at this point anyone would be surprised to see Phryne and Jack touching in her home - Dot is more than a companion to Phryne at this point - maybe the situation with Jack has even been discussed - Dot has been on to them for ages - remember the look she gives to them both in the kitchen at the end of KMC.
But this is not just touching, its neck touchingā¦its intimate both for that time and even now. Ā And its sensual too, loving in a sense. Ā For me this scene is hotter than the phrack kiss, and even more of a step forward in terms of intimacy. Ā We all know his hand was going to head south if Dot hadnāt walked in.
oh missfisherobsessed I so agree with you. And what is more, his fingers slip beneath the material of her blouse. This is surely the breaking of some taboo. Itās almost intercourse by the standards of the day - did I say that out loud!? And between this scene and them knowing intimately the others night time reading habits, surely something is going on that weāre not completely privy to. And yes. So much happens off screen and its glorious for the imagination (and the fanfic). How many nights, after the nightcap does she make a subtle play, only for him to leave? How many nights do they talk about their pasts, their hopes, their dreams. There is an intimate trust between these two and I hope it never ever goes away.
And I should be vacuuming but why would i, honestly?
Yeah,it's so intimate,&Jack's eyes are full of love

Jack's ties
This is for gaslightgallows and her wonderful drabble about Phryne and Jackās ties.
Iām guessing we all have our favourites and mine is No. 13.
Have I missed any? I didnāt include the other tux because he never wore it in the series.
Um the last image. Ā *thud*
New set of stills at Sarah Enticknapās site. I have watermarked a few that I am posting today, please make sure you attribute with a link to her page so the source is clear if you are posting other pics (I canāt stress this enough).Ā
How did I get this you ask?
My Grandparents are well aware of my MFMM obsession. Ā Well. Aware. Ā So well aware they know all about my phrack fear over that rusty plane (wah-pah will understand). Ā They went through their old junk the other day (old junk more like GOLD) and found this old magazine featuring an article titledĀ āFeminine Figureheads of 1910ā and look it features Miss Amy Johnson who in 1930 was the first woman pilot to fly from England to Australia in 7 ½ days. Ā Hey itās the opposite way but it still counts! Ā And I doubt the phracking plane was rusty but stillā¦
But 7 ½ daysā¦.Jack better get to it!!
OMG missfisherobsessed, this is *fantastic*. Thanks for sharing!!!
Thatās amazing! Ā
Fun Little MFMM Facts from the books
You might not need these, but in case something is lacking in your fanfics, you like random trivia, or youāre looking for an answer to one little thingā¦
- Jack is actually very serious about gardening. If something in his life is stressful (like Miss Fisher), Raisins and Almonds suggests that he greatly prefers the company of his flowers then over anything else.
- An ongoing list of what is (believed) to grow in his gardens: Cattleya flowers, slipper orchids, maidenhair fern, and irises. He also might have a small pond with running water.
- Jack will make Miss Fisher cut out any flower-growing tips she finds in her magazines.
- Hugh speaks pretty decent French, enough to be able to teach Dot some, and she is completely willing to learn and actively tries to keep using it. However, itās mentioned later that Dot doesnāt speak any, or Hugh? (canāt quite remember now), so this is a fact-checking one.
- Jack and Phryne, in the novels, are extremely close friends, to the point where Jack can just show up in the morning to eat breakfast, or any other meal for that matter, with Miss Fisherā¦

I love books and I think itās about time I read the Kerry Greenwood novels.Ā
Awesome facts!
Oh these are very interesting!!!I didn't recall anything about Jack was interested in gardening in the show. I like that Jack call his gray hair "Miss Fisher hairs",&I think the gray hair make Jack sexier

An Evening With Marion Boyce
Tonight I attended theĀ āevening with Marion Boyceā event and what a lovely event it was.
Marion is so lovely. Such a passion for what she does and so much care for the product she produces.
Here are some of the highlights;
* Essie sometimes just laughs through her dress fittings and Marion loves that
* Miriam is very irreverent and naughty and one day stole all the young fans from outside the studios as they recognised Professor SproutĀ āfrom Harry Potter.ā
* She likes dressing the men.
* She researches meticulously and travels the worldĀ ārescuing fabricsā that would otherwise be cut up and mistreated. Her husband does not enjoy shopping with her.
* The most challenging costume to make was the mermaid- individual panels to fit Essieās frame were sewn together piece by piece and had to be a material that wouldnāt change colour in water, look like scales with movement not stretch when wet.
* They are making most costumes (including sourcing extras costumes) within a 16 day turnaround.
*She adores the weighted scarf from King Memseās Curse that was shown off perfectly by the director. It symbolised Phryneās joie de vivre after a period of sadness. She loved itās movement and was forever grateful to the director of the episode for shooting it so perfectly in aĀ āwhole body shot.;ā
* The black and white coat worn in Raisins and Almonds is Marionās own. She gave it up to Phryne indicatingĀ āhow much she loves a character/actor.
* All fur used in mf is fake but looks so real they often get accused of using the real thing.
* She got an audience member to try on a gorgeous lounging gownā¦.saying this was the equivalent of aĀ ātracksuitā todayā¦I know which Iād prefer!
* Marion said she is careful that Phryne is appropriately dressed up or down depending on where she is- Phryne has a āmoral compassā and wouldnāt wear an evening gown along the streets of Collingwood for example.
After she spoke for some time the floor was thrown open to the audience.
Marion was, of course asked about a movie to which her answer wasĀ āmaybeā in the most innocent, teasing tone everā¦Iām Ā even more hopeful!Ā
There were lots of serious dressmakers and would be designers there and their questions were fascinating about breaking into the business etc. Marion said she has been asked to develop a range of Phryne themed clothing but said that they are āof an eraā and donāt really fit the modern world- it seemed unlikely she would do it.
She then agreed to sign things and we got to meet and chat with her. Much like Nathan, she was happy to have a chat and engage wholeheartedly with people. I asked her about the swallow brooch- did it have a story, was it perhaps one of her pieces. She said no, it had been sourced by one of theĀ ābuyersā but that it was a lovely piece.
She said that she would be coming to the opening of the costume exhibition in Sydney and we said weād be there! (April she thought).Ā
All in all it was a lovely night with a very talented and lovely lady!
