I think they're gonna be cute, actually.
OSHXISJSJSJSJSJDJSJXJSJXJSJDJSJZJSNXNSJXJSJXHSJDJDJD I LOVE THEM ANDJSKXJSJXJSJCJSJXJSJXSHDJSJDJJSSJSJSJSJSJSJSJSJDJ JUST LOOK AT THEM AKSISJDJSJDJSJDJDJDJDJ
(Sorry I just love all the Weasley couples so much. Idk why. They look so good. Can’t wait to see more of your art.)
leitmotifs never get old to me like holy shit dude there’s this melody that corresponds to this one guy and if you hear the melody it means the guy is there. holy shit. and sometimes it refers to ideas too not just guys. has anyone heard about this
there should be a term for characters you personally don't care about but you defend them anyways because the way people treat them is really uncomfortable. like ok this is a very middle-of-the-road character for me but the fandom's either been super misogynistic, racist, etc. about them or harassed innocent people who try to genuinely explore that character warts and all, and i find that more annoying than the actual character.
the term should by 'my client', like you're a lawyer defending your client that you are completely indifferent to but you are obligated by your job (or your morals) to defend
not using AI genuinely feels like the rest of the world is experiencing some kind of mass amnesia. if someone says they never use it, the immediate response is that can't be true because "everyone" uses it to write their emails or answer their questions. saw a comment suggesting that not using chatgpt to write an essay is "like the 90s". girl I graduated in 2021 and we weren't doing that! how is it that everyone has suddenly forgotten that they were entirely capable of doing these things all by themselves for their entire lives up until the past few years!! am I going crazy!!!

It’s crazy how people are so threatened by the Harry Potter tv show that they don’t even want new edits of their favorite characters……
I’m actually looking forward the most to more Weasley Twin edits because we will get more of their scenes and arc from the books. How could you not want that ?
Not to mention I’m looking forward to more edits of the Weasleys in general. Especially since we are getting Charlie this time around when he wasn’t even in the movies which was a poor decision on their part in my opinion. And we will get Percy’s arc and more of Bill’s scenes I believe.
Like I will never understand it. I’m sorry but I just never will. Hating on this show so hard as a Harry Potter fan and not wanting to see your favorite characters on screen and trending again….
Anyways, I’m looking forward to seeing the Harland twins adaptation of my babies Fred and George and seeing how they bring them to life. Along with the rest of the actors playing the Weasleys. Can’t wait.
You know, today I've had a conversation with my godmother(who's the reason I'm such a huge HP fan in first place cause she and my parents bought me first two books for my 9th birthday), and while she doesn't hate the idea of the show, she can't imagine any of the adult characters with different actors, she actually likes the movies(alongside the books), and I've thought about how attached some folks are to the actors from the movies...but me personally–and I've talked about it– I have zero attachment to any part of the movies, sure I like the adult actors, but their characters may as well be named differently cause of how different they are to their books' counterparts–just as much as all kids characters really. Honestly, even as a kid, I stopped caring about the movies–beyond what they're gonna adapt–past 4th one, or rather starting with it, and my attachment was less and less, despite how I was introduced to the series via the first two movies as each came out.
As you mention them, the movies cut characters and arcs that the movies–that have no excuse of being cut. Sure, there's only so much they can fit, but given how they cut stuff and replaced them with plot holes, the excuse of not having enough time doesn't sit with me. Ignoring the 2nd oldest Weasley kid, and Percy's arc was something that had no reason to be cut, absolutely none.
I'm looking forward to all that just as much as you.
And besides, the books came first, and the movies were an adaptation, much like this is. People treat it as a remake, but it's not. It's an adaptation much like all MCU and DC movies are to all the superhero comics.
(She'd talked about a movie from our country and how it'd if they made another version of it with different actors and how it wouldn't be the same, but like, that wasn't an adaptation; this is, and another thing is not every fan even watched the HP movies, so to them Gambon, Maggie, Rickman, Robbie, etc aren't Dumbledore, Minerva, Snape, Hagrid, etc, they don't imagine them as they're reading the books over and over again. Hell, I don't do that, and I grew up with the movies, but none of those actors are portraying the characters from the books; they're so far removed from the canon that they may as well be someone's OCs in their fanfic. All the mentioned actors–may they all rest in peace–were fantastic actors, and were the bright spots of the movies, but I have no attachment to any of them.)
There was no need to cut so many characters and their arcs, especially those that impacted the plot and other character's arcs–like Percy and his arc–in favour of original plot points(that as I've said ended up being plot holes).
(Sorry this kinda got away from me lol)
Also, getting upset at seeing edits with new actors is just so silly, and I wouldn't get it even if I liked the movies and the characters as they were portrayed by the actors.
Don’t worry about it getting away from you I’m glad you shared this because this was so interesting to read. Thank you.
In all honesty I get how nostalgic the movies can be for Harry Potter fans. The movies were my introduction to Harry Potter so believe me I get it. And I get that the movies have been the only adaption for years because there hasn’t been any other since then until now so I get how much the movies have become apart of Harry Potter, but it flabbergasts me how people can be so blinded by hatred for JK Rowling now and nostalgia that suddenly no one wants a new adaptation and no one wants their “cast” to be replaced (which they won’t be btw) and treating the movie cast as if they are the characters themselves which they are not.
I can’t describe the immediate love for the movies disappearing after reading the books for the first time afterwards, and it getting me not to be super attached to the movies as well.
You’re right getting upset about new edits of the new actors is really silly because it’s nothing to be upset about at all. In fact, if anything this show will not only bring edits of the new cast but it will also most likely bring new edits of the movie cast because I’m sure the show will get people to watch the movies and read the books.
Not to mention the Harry Potter blogs that are still around that are against the show will most likely be shocked at all the new followers they are going to get from people watching the show. Like you don’t want to be apart of that ? You don’t want to be apart of the new content and discussion ? apart of the revival that is going to happen ? Like I don’t comprehend it all.
So glad you are looking forward to the same things I am. I’m also glad your godmother doesn’t hate the idea of the show. And if she watches it I hope she likes it and the new cast. I also hope you two make some more fun memories together regardless.

Thanks, I hope that too.
(Nothing more to add, your addition tells even more of my own thoughts, especially bit about how the show and its actors aren't replacing the movies and its actors; they'll still be there.)
biggest fear is searching up “weasley twins edits” on tiktok after december 25th 2026 and no longer seeing the phelps twins version
biggest fear is facing people reacting to an alternative film adaptation like religious fanatics to another faith
why tf are you acting like the films are being blocked lol nobody takes them from you
i never even liked the Phelps twins' portrayal after the first 2 films anyway. They looked nothing like I imagined them (too tall, their dyed hair was so obviously fake), they were completely dispassionate for anything besides lame jokes (where was their protective bond with Harry???) and their gimmicky talking at the same time schtick drove me mad. I can't WAIT to see the Harland twins in action to right all of the wrongs ❤️❤️🎇
Huh, you know what I wonder if I'd feel the same about Phelps twins if I watched the movies now as an adult. The last time I fully watched them was when the last movie came out, and since I've watch bits and pieces due to already being disenchanted since being a teen–actually scratch that, since being a kid watching GoF and even moreso OotP. As a kid/teen though I liked Phelps twins, but that was then. Honestly, I'd like to leave them in fond past as they were back then one of the few things I'd liked about the movies past PoA–and mind you, I only like that one due to directing; script wise, not so much.
Lisbon. It's over. It's done. I just want you to know I'm okay.
everyone tells me that ADHD isn't an excuse for being lazy and that there are people with ADHD who have overcome their symptoms and are successful but every day I drag around an invisible dopplegänger of myself who is horrible and listless and always complains. and he is so heavy. I'm ambitious and I'm passionate but he isn't and the problem is that to get anywhere in life I have to grab him by the leg and pull him along the whole way, kicking and screaming, and sometimes it gets exhausting. sometimes he pulls me down with him. and it gets a bit difficult to explain to people why I'm lying down on the floor in pain when they can't see him.
I've never heard ADHD explained this way....but it's such a good depiction of it.
It's like carrying an invisible toddler doppleganger. She just wants naps and sweets and ballet and feed her or she'll get hangry.
My best friend, and one close friend and one of my aunts are the only ones who understand that I'm not lazy, just struggling with that invisible toddler(quite like that description of adhd). I want to do something, but it's really hard to start. And ironically when I start it's super easy to finish. It's beyond annoying honestly.
the fact that Rowling called Emma, Rupert, and Daniel "ungrateful" because they support trans rights, and had to recast actors for the HBO show to try and make people forget about "the three mistakes"?
the fact that the show is even happening, after everything that Rowling said and done?
I do wish people would just ignore that upcoming show, there are so many things wrong with it. (but we all know that's not going to happen. sigh.)
Oh but they are ungrateful, and it has nothing with them supporting trans rights(HA! As if! Ya'll are utterly blind to their preformativness, especially Emma)–which btw Jo supports, she just doesn't believe that gender is more important than sex, aaaand she doesn't stands behind converstion therapy transition is used sometimes as, plus she stand behind homosexual men and women who are often pressured by trans crowd of the opposite sex into dating them all cause they believe that sexuality is based on gender and not sex.
Also she has done absolutely nothing wrong, and is a bloody saint for how much money she used to actually help people; and what are you lemmings doing to help anyone, including trans people, besides shit talking JKR.
And finally, she never called those three ungrateful brats "mistakes".
