here's belli !! i tried adding her missing finger that got bitten off but like i completely forgot which one it was. so if i'm wrong please pretend you don't notice.

ok so i randomly decided to slowly try drawing each of the main twotm cast individually, while each of them are doing something. for belli, i picked foundation. idk who i'm drawing next (pretty sure it's aequa but my adhd brain cannot make such promises) (who knows maybe i'll spontaneously decide to draw ulciscor or estevan or some random object again) (gasp... a transect!!) 

i'm so sorry to say that tumblr killed the quality and the bright colors SO bad BUT i hope you like it anyways !!

The Will of the Many’s first person pov really works in making me feel feeling in regards to names. When we first meet our main character he’s called Vis. It’s what everyone calls him, but we’re told it’s a fake name, that he’s using it to hide. Later we learn his real name – Diago – but it comes from a person who is threatens to use it against him. Very few characters actually call him Diago, meanwhile he goes and gives the name to the wolf he befriends. Is it weird, naming a pet after yourself? Or is it not weird because that isn’t your name anymore? If not for the danger of revealing who you were, would you know what to answer when someone asks your name? Did Diago die along with the rest of his family that day, or did you bury him yourself because it was only way to survive?

Aequa's Coin Flips

Nothing serious (?) but just a random detail I found. Cue my rambling.

Okay, so I just noticed this in the book during my reread, and maybe everybody did and I'm just slow, but earlier during when the fourths (with Vis) go to the Festival of Pletuna, Aequa gets excited with all the foundation games in the festival and asks for a coin flip to see who starts.

There's a background detail where Vis (in his monologue) finds this amusing and notes on how Aequa, in earlier classes, had been bragging about her coin flips and her ability to direct the outcome of them. And Vis also mentions how it never looked once like she was cheating. Not exactly a word-per-word copy of the scene, but something like that.

I didn't think too much of it until one of the Iudicium chapters, where Aequa and Callidus are trying to figure out who got to go with Vis (because obviously neither of them would want to go alone), so Aequa calls for a coin flip, and asks Callidus for his call. Which she wins.

I don't know why but I find this so funny. (Ignoring the outcome, of it anyway. I'm still extremely sad about that.) But still. The fact that Vis notices this coin thing too, but doesn't say anything because 'she's the better fighter' is hilarious and I loved this Aequa detail.
