so, for fanfic purposes, i wanna discuss the idea that... do you think that the Zeswa know about Butter?

Like, a big part of me wants to believe so, that they know bc they have access to so much milk whenever they want and can shake it like it owes them money to get their butter but... like what if they don't need butter at all, so why bother to learn? maybe it was a discontinued food ingredient bc they have so many alternative options? Why waste time with making butter when they can make what they need far more efficiently without shaking milk.

Yes, the Na'vi know how to make pastries, but not necessarily do they need butter, Lard or other animal fats are long-term known ingredients to make it alternatively. Butter is not part of any trades nor listed in any of the food lists in either standard or speciality.

I haven't seen anything in-game that suggests butter's presence in the Zeswa's clan. no blocks or wheels of butter. Only milk barrels and cheese rings. There's not NPC talk wither. There is talk of Whey, but that's a by-product of cheese making than butter making (which produces buttermilk, slightly different to Whey).

What do you think?
