The oceans were calm and quiet as the ship Hella sailed across it's surface. It's proud captain sitting in the Crows nest just taking in the beauty and the calm of the water. A side he wouldn't let his crew see. The captain's name was Haides. No one knew his last name and he would prefer it that way for sweeps he  has been sailing, taking down trolls who had crossed the empire. He hated it with a passion. But he couldn't help but love sailing on the sea. That was the only thing he liked about being an orphaner. "Captain!!" The call caught his attention as he looked down at the toll, his gaze steely as he glared. Without missing a beat the troll pointed to the horizon. "Ship off the port bow!" They yelled. Looking up Haides saw a ship that was feared by low bloods. "The Galleon" Haides said with a whisper. That ship was feared by low bloods because when it was seen on the horizon they would have to pack up and run. That ship was big enough to hold a whole town of trolls in its hull. As a wriggler he heard tails of the ship burning port towns before they left with its new batch of trolls. "Prepare to board!!" Haides yelled to his crew as the ship neared his own.
Soon both ships were at a stand still next to each other, Haides and his crew borded the Galleon and spoke with the crew and captain. Â "It is an Honor to meet you Haides" the troll said, he was a jade blood who has been kidnapping trolls for sweeps now, he was almost at the age to be sent off. "You got to us just in time. We were just about to sell off out latest catch" he said happily as he walked to a hatch and oped it to let Haides walk in. As he did he looked around at all the cells, they all had trolls in the cells, all color coded by color of their blood. It sickend Haides as he looked at the trolls, many of them backed off from the doors, fearful of what he would do them. "How many?" Haides asked as he looked over at some jades, who cowerd under his gaze. "About 200 sir, we plan to catch a few more as we make our way to the slave ports." The captain said as he watched Haides continued his walk. "Any going to the heiress?" Haides asked as he stopped at some cells to examine the trolls. "Yes sir, half of the ship is for her anyway, she culled her last batch after a troll spat in her face" Haides chuckled a bit at that but kept his face blank. "I see" he said as he came up on cells made for Burgundy and gold bloods. The cells were empty. "Before you ask about them we have the trolls who were in the cells, they are just.... under collar per say" the Captain said with a snicker, making Haides look at him confused. "Oh?"
The captain nodded as he gestured for Haides to follow him. Looking at his first mate he signaled for them to follow him. Felling more comfortable with him by his side. The captain lead the two deeper into the ship down to the cells that were below the jail. In here were trolls slouched over in their seats, blank expressions on their faces as they had collars around their necks. All of them glowing blue. "This is what i mean by under collar" he said as he lifted a burgundy's face up, their eyes completely grayed out from the collars effects. "A gold that we have been trying to get rid of caused a ruckus a few nights ago, they managed to get the rust blood's here to break their cells open along with the others and tried to take over the ship, but in the end he was the only one standing on deck" he said as he let the trolls face go and walked over to a hold that was slouched against the wall, they had a collar on as well as goggles that had the sign of the cerulean that was keeping him in check. "For a month now we have sold him off only to catch him again after he ran from his master".
Haides knelt down to the troll and grabbed his chin lifting his head up to examine him. "This gold has been nothing but a pain in my rear, he keeps some how getting away from who ever buys him and each time we catch him he always has these!" The troll said as he dropped one of the broken robobeez. It weakly buzzed before the troll crushed it under his heel. "And each time he always has a cocky smirk on his fucking face. 'You mizzed me?' He would ask and he is lucky that now the empress wants him as her personal pet" he said with a snicker. Haides flicked his fin at that as he let the trolls chin go and stood up. "How long till you get to the port?" He asked as he turned away from the gold. "About another night till we get to our destination, but we will be delivering the gold to her empress first" the captain said as he crosses his arms. Haides hummed a bit as he looked at the trolls around him. There was nothing he could do to save them and he knew it, all he could do was hope that who ever bought them would be kind to them, even if that was a pipe dream. after leaving the slaves the Captain invited Haides and his crew to a meal, knowing how they operate Haides polity declined as he signaled for his men back onto their ship. After bidding their good byes Haides watched as the Galleon sailed away. "What now sir?" His first mate asked as Haides looked at him. "We continue  our rout and then head home" he said and looked back to the other ship. Watching as the mast disappeared under the Horizon. That day Haides couldn't sleep, he just kept seeing the trolls that were in cages stare at him, fear in their eyes as they held onto each other, he seen it many times... why was he now having daymares of it.... sitting up with a snarl he got up went to his desk and started to write in his journal about the nights events, maybe then he would be able to get some sleep.
After writing in the journal Haides did his best to calm down, breathing exercises, counting but none of that worked, growling he soon packed up his blankets and pillows and made his way to the crows nest, thankful that he is wearing a cloak to protect himself from the suns rays, after a moment or two Haides had made the crows nest into his personal fort. Smiling a bit he got ready to sleep again this time he was successful and thankfully had no more nightmares. It has been a few months after his run in with the Galleon and Haides almost forgotten about what he saw. But who was he kidding what he saw made his stomach churn when ever that cursed ship was mentioned He was looking forward to seeing the mainland and going to see his favorite inn.
 He was almost giddy at the thought. What felt like forever to Haides they finally made port in the town. It was mainly high bloods that ran the area, mostly Violet bloods that have retired from their orphaner duties. It was a nice little town at least to Haides it was, but when he saw the low bloods with their High blood masters he almost felt sick. Growling a bit to himself he shook the feeling away as he jumped off of his ship. His boots clicking as he landed effortlessly on the dock. "Hello Haides, you here to rest again?" A Violet female asked as she pulled in her fishing line. "Yes ma'am! And maybe find some company for the day" he said making her blush but laugh. "Well what ever you do, do it safely you hear me?" She asked as Haides walked away laughing. "No promises!!" He called in a sing song tone. He made his way to the center of town where his favorite inn laid, the bubbly mermaid.Â
It was here where he got his first big case.Food and a few other things were going missing from the trolls who rented rooms and all signs pointed to the inn keeper, but it turns put that it was just the workers who were stealing food and other things to try and keep themselves feed. Thinking about that made Haides grip his arm a bit. Remembering the look on the low bloods faces when they were caught and killed by his weapon. Shaking it off he walked into the inn. It was just as lively as he remembered it!! Trolls were sharing drinks and tall tails of their adventures and things they have seen out on the waters. As usual the job board was full of help and missing posters, mainly of low blood servants that no one wanted to go looking for. The keeper looked up when Haides pushed the door open and grinned.Â
"Well well well, look what the Purrbeast dragged in!!" He said happily as he walked to Haides. "Ah Torren my old friend!!" Haides said as he grabbed the trolls hand and pulled him in for a hug. "How have the seas been treating ya?" Torren asked as he lead Haides to the bar. "She has been kind to me old friend, well so far you know how she can be unpredictable" Haides said with a laugh. "I hear ye!" Torren said as he Slid Haides his normal drink. Licking his lips Haides grabbed the cup and took a swig of it, soon sighing when he was half done with the mug. "Ah! Nothing like Mermaid ail to soothe the nerves!" Haides said happily.Â
Torren laughs as he listened to Haides's tails of what he seen on the open sea. soon he had to excuse himself so he can help the others at the bar. nodding Haides turned around to look at everyone in the Inn. smiling as he sipped at his ail now. for some reason his eyes landed on the workers as they served food and drinks to the  trolls who ordered things.  their uniform was a basic server's uniform with their blood color showing on the aprons. shaking his head a bit he watched them all. at least now they know not to steal from the high bloods again. as he lifted the mug to his lips to drink till something caught his eye. looking towards it his mouth hung open. he seen the gold cuddling up to a purple blood, even now he had the goggles on as well as the collar. "um... torren?" Haides called getting his friend's attention. "yes?" he asked as Haides nodded to the gold, who was wearing some fancy clothes as the purple kissed his cheek.Â
"oh! him! he is a new 'worker' i bought him a few months ago, he had to be trained for a while, right now he is looking for a client" he said with a smirk. Haides just nodded a bit as he watched the gold. he was just giggling as he troll kissed his cheek more and started to whisper something to him, he just gasps and playfully pushed his face away. for some reason Haides was getting angry as he watched the interaction. he gripped the mug's handle to the point it was starting to splinter a bit in his grip. what set him truly off was when the gold got up holding the Purples hand and lead him up stairs. Haides snarled as he watched them go to the rooms. "Haides? you alright mate?" a voice asked. Haides shook his head snapping back to normal as he looked at the voice, it was Torren. "y-ya i'm ok..." he said as he set the now busted mug on the counter, the ail now all over the front of his uniform
Torren handed him a towel to clean the ail off of his uniform. Haides thanks him as he started to clean his uniform up. thankfully he had a personal room at the inn. looking up at the stairs Haides felt the anger flare up again before he looks at Torren. "i am going to change." he said as Torren handed him the key. "alright take your time" he said as he watched Haides go up the stairs. Haides sighed as he made his way to his room shaking his head a bit. "well hope i wont see them for a while..." he mumbled to himself. but soon a subtle sound caught his attention. flicking his fins he followed the sound out of habit but stopped when he realized what he was hearing. with his face turning a shade of violet as he walked past the room where the sounds were coming from. doing his best to ignore what he was hearing as he opened his bedroom door. all too quickly he slammed it shut behind him as he covered his face with his hands. "why do i have to be near that pissbloods room..."
after a while Haides was out of his uniform and was leaning on the balcony. his eyes closed as the wind blew. messing with his hair and filling his lungs with fresh air. soon he looked to the side and saw that the gold had a room with a balcony as well. rolling his eyes he looked away or at least tried to look away. when he looked over he soon saw the gold leaning on the balcony as well, just staring off at the ocean, his hair was a mess due to his activities. Haides looked him up and down and blushed a bit when he saw that the troll was just in a shirt. nothing on below the waist. looking down a bit Haides saw that the troll had bite mark on his legs as well after a few more moments the troll turned away and walked  back into his room. Haides shook his head as he looked back at the sea. "just one night and i will be back on the sea" he told himself as he watched the waves. "but tonight i am going to have some fun" he said with a smirk. turning back he went into his room and cleaned up before he put on his spare uniform with out the cloak. by now other sex workers were walking into the Inn and he was hoping to see an old friend of his.
Haides made his way down to the bar, as soon as he walked down he was tackled buy a neon blur, laughing he held the troll back and nuzzled his cheek. "Hello my neon lover~" Haides purred as he stole a kiss from the trolls lips. the troll laughed as he wrapped his arm around Haides's neck and put his hand on his cheek. "Mmm better now that you're here~" he purred as Haides laughed a bit. "lets go to our usual stop Angelo" Haides said  as he lead the troll to their normal spot at the counter. "have a seat" Haides said making Angelo giggle and sat on his lap. "this is my favorite seat~" he purred making Haides smile and hold him close. "so how have things been?" Haides asked as he ordered some food. "Oh nothing really, also had to teach a cutie the ways of... well you know~" Angelo said with a suggestive tone. making Haides laugh but soon stopped. "wait... you got a new worker?" he asked and Angelo shook his head. "nope not with my group but the one that is here" he said as he looked around, soon finding his student. "oh! there he is!!" Angelo said as Haides looked over. his eyes widening a bit when he saw the gold blood. who is talking to some Violets, soon he got up and sat on one of their laps. "i can see you taught him" Haides said making Angelo laugh. "yup and so did our queen~" he said with a purr. Haides looked at him. "Amelia helped as well?" Haides asked as Angelo nodded. "yup!"
Haides snickers as he nuzzled Angelo's neck. "well i bet you taught him well but right now" haides started to kiss Angelo's neck and shoulder. "i just want to spend time with you~" Haides purred making Angelo blush and hum a bit. "i don't know~ i learned some new... tricks, do you think you can handle it?" he asked as Haides picked him up and smirked. "oh you know it~" he purred making Angelo laugh and sweetly kiss him. "i would love to fuck my darling but right now i need to keep things in check, my darlings are here and i need to keep them safe" he said as Haides nodded and sat down with him on his lap again. "Alright but.. we need a time where we can have some time together" Haides said with a smile making Angelo smile back at him and sweetly kissed him.
Angelo sat on Haides's lap as he drank some water, both catching up on everything and having a good time. soon Angelo had to get up and take care of one of his workers. as Haides drank a hand was placed on his back. making him jump a bit he looked back and Saw that it was the gold. "hello darling" he purred as he smiled at him. Haides just looked at him as he looked away. "is this seat taken?" the gold asked as he gestured to the seat. Haides just shrugged a bit. "i guess not" he said as the gold sat on the chair next to him. he tried his best to entice Haides to go to the room with him. all the While Haides was ignoring him and even now he can feel the golds confidence deflating. after a few more minutes of the gold flirting with him Haides looked at him. "look i am not interested in others sloppy seconds" he said his face stone cold as he watched as the gold tense up a bit. "so go away piss blood" he said as he looked away. the gold sat there a bit and whispered he was sorry as he got up and walked away from him. Haides for some reason felt horrible for what he said but shook it off. if he was going to sleep with someone it was his Angelo.
Haides continued to drink his water and soon moved onto ail as Angelo came back and Haides's mood lighten up instantly. the two happily laughed as they shared a drink. soon he noticed the Gold with a violet and looked away when they went up stairs. soon Angelo had to save one of his workers from a handsie customer. laughing a bit as he seen Angelo get huffy with the troll. after a while the inn was starting to calm down and he noticed the Violet that was with the gold but he didn't see the gold. shrugging because it wasn't his job to worry he just went back to talking to Torren. who poured him some more Ail and soon he started to tease him more about Angelo. "i would as him to be mine but with him loving his sex job i don't want to tear him away from it" Haides said as he smiled a bit. soon getting shoved a bit when the violet walked up and bumped Haides's arm on accident. "sorry" he said as he looked at Torren. "a round please and also" he dropped the belt the gold was wearing onto the counter, blood soaked into it. "just wanted you to know that the gold had an... accident" he said with a smirk as Torren gave him his round of drinks. "alright I'll take care of it later" he said. the violet nodded as he grabbed his drinks and walked away. "Alright Haides now what about your an... Haides?" he asked as he waved his hand in front of Haides's face. Haides was staring at the belt as the blood started to dry. shaking his head he looked at Torren. "is that..." Torren looked at the belt and nodded. "Normal? ya it is, not like i cant get another gold" he said as he grabbed the belt and tossed it into the trash.
Haides suddenly felt sick as he sipped his water. "how... often..?" he asked as Torren looked at him. "hmm... not often but it does prevent him from working for a while." he said as he put down a mug. "last time his goggles fell off and the collar broke. so he mouthed off to his client  at the time, this time i need to make it so that the goggles don't fall off again.... hmm... maybe tie them to his head" he said as he snickered a bit. "ya... might work..." Haides said as he drank his water. when the inn was calmed down Torren closed the bar and walked up the stairs to the room. for some reason Haides found himself standing up and following him. he walked till he heard a slapping sound, it made him shudder as he continued to walk. when he got close to the room he glanced in. he saw Torren yelling at the gold as he slapped him again. the gold winced at the slap as he hugged himself, he was already bleeding from a gash on his leg and blood dripping from his eye. "s-sorry master..." he whimpers as Torren grabbed him by the arm and jerked him to his feet, the gold had bruising on his body from what the violet did to him. "you better be sorry, fight back again and you will be walking the plank" Torren said as he forced the goggles back onto the golds face. "go clean yourself up, when you're healed you have to take in twice as many" he said. the gold just silently nodded as he limped to the bathroom. Haides covered his mouth with his hand as he ran to his room. he was going to be sick!!
Torren jumped when he heard Haides slam the door to his room. shrugging he left the golds room, shutting it and locking it behind him. Haides went to the bathroom and lost everything he had in his stomach. when he was done he leaned back as panted. he ran his hand in his hair but from that he realized he was... shaking. looking at his hands they were shaking uncontrollably. "i had him in my hand when i saw him the first time.... w-why didn't i do something..." he asked himself. "no, he is just a piss blood... a troll that is just made to serve high bloods no matter what...." he told himself but looked at the wall. "or... is he...?" he asked himself. shaking his head he slapped himself hard across the face. " he is just a nameless troll that is a sex worker!" he yelled mostly to himself. "but... Angelo and Amelia are sex workers and they have names...." sighing a bit haides got up and walked to the balcony. as soon as he was out he let the wind wash over him but for some reason it felt painful to his body. "just calm down Orphaner Haides...." he said to himself but soon he started to think as he leaned on the rail. at this point thinking about everything that he has done up to that point.Â
Haides sighed as he started to calm down after a while. sitting down he leaned against the wall. when he felt himself starting to fall a sleep he got up and went into his room. after getting ready for bed he laid in the slime. staring a bit at the ceiling he soon drifted off to sleep. ".....adies....adies...." a voice was calling out to him. groaning a bit he tried to ignore the voice. "HAIDES!!" the voice yelled making him gasp as he sat up. looking around he was in a field with blue flowers wrapped around Violet flowers. "where..." he said before he looked to his side. he saw a low blood who was smiling at him. "Night sleepy head!!" the troll said. all Haides could do and smile at him. "Sorry, but i just couldn't help myself, this place looked like a good placed to take a nap" he said as he laughed. the troll laughed with him and helped him up. "Come on! we're going to be late for the movie!!" the troll said making Haides laugh as he followed him. till a strong wind made him stop to cover his face, when it died down the once lush and green field was brown and dead. looking around Haides saw the blue flower petals were being blown away by the wind as the purple flowers wilted. "hay! where are you?!" Haides yelled. but that was when he heard it. that sickly sweet laugh that made his blood run hot. looking up he saw her stabbing the troll he was with in the chest. "you will always be mine Haides~" the female troll said.
Haides watched as the troll pulled her strife out of the blue blood, tears falling from his eyes. "no.... NO!!" he yelled as he ran to the troll, only to wake up when he fell out of the coon. panting he sat up as he ran his hand in his hair. "i... i remember.... i remember everything..." he said as he got up on shaky legs. he put his hand on the wall as he looked at himself in the mirror. he looked so different from what he remembered.... his eyes looked more cold even with him being scared out of his mind.his hair was once tided and well kept now looks like Apollo's hair. shaking his head a bit he went to the desk and started to looks for something to cut his hair with. soon he found what he was looking for. after preparing himself he managed to cut his hair to the way he had it before.... what ever happened to him. when looking for his normal clothes he couldn't find it at all. only thing he had was the uniform. "dang..." he whispered to himself. getting dressed in the uniform he walked out of the room just in time to see Torren unlocking the golds room. Torren noticed him and smiled at him. "Hey cap, you feeling ok?" he asked.Â
Haides just nodded as he walked over. " ya i am alright... what are you doing?" he asked as he looked at the tray. it just had the bare minimum to keep a troll alive. "you think that is enough?" he asked and Torren just snickered a bit. "this is enough for him for now. when he gets back to work he can eat more" he said as he opened the door to walk into the room. Haides looked into the room and saw the gold sitting on the bed, leaning from side to side as if he was tired. "hay i told you to stay up" Torren said as he gave the troll the tray. the troll grunted a bit when he got the tray but nodded. "thank you master..." he said as he kept his head down. Haides walked in and knelt down next to the troll. "you... alright?" he asked as the troll just shook his head. "I'm fine sir...." he said as he started to nibble on some bread. "i hope you have a good night" he said after he swallowed what he had in his mouth. Haides felt his chest tighten up when he saw the bandages on the troll but they were put on haphazardly.
Haides checked the troll over and reached up to touch his head. but in doing so the troll flinched and covered his head out of fear. "P-please don't" he said as Torren growled. "Who said you can t-" Haides held his hand up and growled at him. "Shut up Torren" he said making the troll stiffen up but nodded. "yes sir" he said as Haides looked at him. "Get him better food, now" he said with a snarl in his voice. Making Torren go pail as he just nods. "Y-yes sir!". soon he ran out of the room. Haides sighed as he stood up and looked down at the gold. reaching up he started to take his cloak off. the gold flinched again when he noticed Haides taking his cloak off. "P-please... no... i-i'm hurt...." Haides's blood pusher clenched when he hard that but gently smiled. "i am not going to do anything you don't want me to do." he said as he took his cloak off and draped it over the gold, making him gasp in surprise as he looked up at Haides. who just gently smiled at him as he knelt down next to him again.
Haides made sure the troll had all the food he could eat and gently petted his head when he was full. "Come on" he said as the troll looked up at him confused. "We're going into the town" Haides said with a smile but the troll soon shrunk away and held the cloak close to him. "B-but... Master said that no one wants to see a piss blood sex worker walking around..." he said. hearing that Made Haides's blood boil but his voice was gentle. "You may think that but i know a sex worker who is the ruler of this island" he gently said as he held the trolls hand, toon helping them up to stand. it was at this time that he noticed that the troll had a gash in his thigh, keeping calm Haides gently picked him up in his arms. making sure to hold the troll close to his body. "you don't need to walk alright, you're still hurt so i will carry you" he said making the gold blush under the goggles but he giggled a bit as he gently wrapped his arms around Haides's neck. smiling Haides left the Inn and made his way to the castle at the top of the hill.
Haides made sure to Keep the troll troll covered just to make him feel more comfortable and safe. when they got to the castle he was greeted with a happy Anglo. "Hey swe-" he cut himself off when he saw the troll in Haides's arms. "What happened?!" he asked as he motioned for them to come inside. "his master happened" Haides said as he walked in. Angelo was at first confused but soon ran with them to a healing room and opened the door. "what did his master do...?" he asked as Haides set the troll on the medical bed. gently he held the trolls face and had him look at him. "He is a good troll alright, he will not hurt you" he said as the troll just nodded but held onto Haides's hand. "c-can i-" Haides's gently cut him off as he nodded. "Yes you can hold my hand." he said as he sat next to him. Angelo walked over after cleaning his hands to check the troll over. first he tended to the wounds he got and soon moved onto old wounds he seen. reaching up he pulled the hood off of the troll. "Lets see your pretty fa-" Angelo cut himself off when he saw the devices on the troll. anger soon filling his body as he touched the collar. "Where did you find him Haides..." he asked as he kept his voice leveled.Â
Haides gently gripped the trolls hand as he looked at him. "At the inn" he said flatly. hearing that Angelo had to excuse himself for a moment. after a few minutes he came back this time with some tools. "lets get that thing off of you" he said as he set them down. the troll let Haides's hand go and covered the collar. "P-please no!! master w-will be angry!!" he said, fear heavily laced in his voice. Angelo looked at him calmly and smiled. "he has no rule here little one, i do now please move your hands" he said sweetly.the troll swallowed and nodded as he uncovered his collar. Angelo smiled as he gently kissed his cheek. "Lay down with your back facing me alright" he said as the troll nodded and did what was asked of him, all the while not letting Haides's hand go. "So... What are you going to do orphaner?" Angelo asked as Haides looked at him. "i am not going to go by that name anymore" he said making Angelo perk up and look at him. "Oh? then who are you then?" he asked making Haides smile at him. "Hifrok, Haides Hifrok" he said proudly.
Angelo smiled when he heard Haides say that. "it's great to have you back" he said as he worked on the collar. "you disappeared after you went to go see your Rail's grave and never came back. everyone thought you were killed" he said as he got the Collar unlocked once he got it from the trolls neck he tossed it. "there you go" he said as the troll sat up rubbing his neck, purring a bit as he did so. "i... don't remember what happened after that... everything is a blur" Haides said as Angelo gently took the Goggles off of the troll. "i hope everything comes back." he said as he looked at the troll. soon checking his eyes. only to frown a bit. "what is it?" Haides asked with worry in his voice. "Because of the Goggles being on him for so long i think it damaged his eyes... he will need glasses" he said but smiled. "but they will be cute glasses!!" he said excitedly. the troll looked at him confused as he held onto Haides's arm. "Glasses...? but won't they break while i'm working?" he asked making Angelo stop. "Wait... how many trolls do you service..?" he asked as he swallowed. the troll thought for a bit. "at most.... five" he said making Angelo sigh but soon it got caught in his throat. "five every hour" he said making Angelo turn a new shade of neon. "Haides.... take him to go see Amelia" he said. Haides saw his face and nodded as he picked the troll up. "remember, your breathing exercises" he said and left the room with the troll in his arms again.
