Sometimes everything going to hell was the best thing that could happen. Most of the time it doesn’t involve completely losing ones life to gain a brand new one though. But here she was, sure that if she could see herself in the mirror, she would have a sort of vacant expression on her face, even though she likely looked devastating in her new attire. All it took was a bit of hypnosis and a dash of mind control.
That wasn’t how things started out. She was a government contractor, working in the State Department. Successful. Then it all came crashing down when a series of anonymous emails went out through the department. She was implicated in numerous misdeeds and she was put on suspended leave while a criminal inquiry was conducted. She knew she didn’t do anything wrong, just a way for the new administration to cut her loose without breaking their contract. This was legal hell. Additionally, because of a “tip” given to her bank, her accounts were suspended since money laundering was part of the charges. She was successful, but mostly still pay check to pay check, so she was now functionally broke as well. Loss of her car and apartment were soon to follow since today was the first of the month.
See? Going to hell. Fast. On the express elevator.
She called her best friend sobbing. I mean, really, who wouldn’t at this point. Her friend listened, did the good friend thing, agreed to take her out and get drunk. They met as a local secret, a psudo-speakeasy that her friend figured out about awhile ago. Now, when her friend said get drunk, they meant they were going to get drunk, since she didn’t drink. They hugged and drinks (for one) were ordered. They chatted and ranted, enjoyed the live music, danced a bit, and generally had fun considering the situation. It was starting to get late and her friend was totally wasted. She called her friend a cab and waved them home. She decided to stay for a bit longer.
Seated in booth out of the way and in the dark a bit, she enjoyed the low music and relative privacy. She felt herself space out a bit, thinking deep thoughts about what to do next with the disaster she had inherited. She was startled out of her reverie by a knock on the table. To this day, she cannot remember if it was a man or a woman, just a shadowed face and brilliant eyes. The rational, logical part of her brain knows that it is because she was hypnotized to not remember them.
They slid into the booth after a brief greeting, charming, polite, maybe attractive too. She remembers being in a “fuck it!” mood since everything was burning around her. Casual small talk was had, some flirting, innuendo. Before long, she was spinning her whole sob story, though at least she didn’t sob herself through it. Her guest nodded at the right times, said soothing words, and generally did all the things that one does when they was to comfort someone.
Then came the ask. There was a moment of weighted silence, and her visitor simply asked, “What if I could take you out of your life and give you a different one?”
It dropped like a stone in a still pond. No mischievous smile, no creepy come on, completely professional, much as if she was asked “Would you like to work here?” or something similar. The eyes though, they were filled with promise. Whatever her guest was offering, it didn’t look like it would be unpleasant.
If this were any other day… but it wasn’t.
That’s all she said. It was reserved, but definite. It was like Alice jumping into the rabbit hole. Her guest smiled then, and set something on the table to “give them some privacy”. A small pulsing hum, coming through like waves, and suddenly the music and bustle of the lounge faded out. She felt more relaxed too. Her guest started to speak then, just some basic soothing words. Nothing noteworthy. And she was certainly listening.
Playing really close attention. Looking really close at those brilliant, promising eyes. Like not blinking. Being really good at listening. She thought, I’m a great listener! Then she was asked a question and wasn’t prepared for it, and she felt bad! Oh! It’s okay! Need to listen harder. Concentrate. Oh! Blinking. Yes, that felt better. Whew. This is hard. Just need to listen more. Blink when I need to. Mmm pulsing sound! That’s making the thinky thoughts hard. Need to keep going though. Eyes sooo big. Blink blink and losing focus? Oh no! I need to keep looking and listening. I can do this. I can be best listen girl… sleepy though. Just want to close eyes. So heavy… But but I want to listen more. Oooh wow, I can listen and close eyes? mmmm ooooookay….
She felt herself leaving, eyes heavy lidded and closed mostly, her guest escorting her out, making all the best excuses, taking care of her. She slid into a car’s front seat bonelessly, and then the pulses and the voice came back and she felt herself melt into the expensive seats.
Next thing she knew she woke up in a lovely estate. Her head felt all fuzzy, like someone jammed it full of fluffy things. She was naked, and mostly took note of how… wrong that was. And not for the reasons a sane, sensible person would, but that she was incomplete. She remembered some things, through the hazy fluffy brain fog, words and swinging things, and feeling happy. But she needed clothing.
She looked around, not able to panic, but with a bit of intensity. There it was. It was her salvation. Completeness. Almost a uniform. A good girl like her must be presentable. It was like a mantra. She quickly, but carefully, snatched up the garment. It was a gorgeous green dress, with sparkling accents, and delightful cut outs. She slipped into it and immediately felt better.
All of a sudden, thoughts and feelings flooded her mind, almost like the dress unlocked something deep inside. She stood, almost like a robot, or a doll. She found a matching pair of Louboutin heels and quickly slipped into them. Her make up was done already, luckily, and for the briefest of moments she saw herself in the mirror. Eyes vacant and unfixed, sleepy smile on her lips, and she was aroused. Just seeing herself in the dress made her unbelievably hot.
As she walked down the long hall of the mansion she was in, she didn’t question anything, but each step in the dress was doing something to her. It was like her fuzzy headed, controlled mind couldn’t look directly at it, and each time she tried, she felt her sex throb, distracting her even more. She felt happy but simple. Dazzling. An adornment.
She stepping into the large room and presented herself to her new owners. She just stopped since she wasn’t acknowledged, mouth dropped open slightly as her programming and the dress took over, hands even stopped mid motion.
She didn’t think about her home, car, job, or well… anything. She was just another enthralled girl added to the collection, this one specialized in playing dress up. And she couldn’t be happier.
