Was talking about this elsewhere and seemed appropriate to drop here: I don't think Janus wants Orange to be revealed

I feel like a lot of people think that Janus wants him loose, but I don't think so. Here are some of my thoughts

- in WIDS, after the whole "orange eye and squint" thing, when the camera pans back to Janus, he's glancing around nervously. That is not the behavior of someone who wants Orange out. That's the behavior of someone who is concerned and quite possibly scared (shoutout @creepy-c00kie for posting about this and getting me thinking about it)

- Connected to the previous point, Janus is self preservation. If he is worried/scared of this Side, why would he want to let him loose if a major part of his role is to protect?

- What does Janus have to gain from Orange being let loose, anyways? When he let Remus off of his leash, it was the aftermath of the courtroom. Janus's efforts were shunned, he was angry, and he let Remus out as revenge because he's petty and dramatic. Now, though, Janus is accepted. He got what he wanted, so why would he let Orange loose now? He has nothing to gain from doing so

So yeah, I don't think Janus's "big plan" is to let Orange loose. I think he wants to keep that guy as far away from Thomas and everyone else as possible

and I lowkey agree. This makes sense. There is no proper justification for the idea of Janus wanting Orange to be free other than general headcanon upon headcanon actions. Which I observe since there was sucha big content drought for so long. Is what happened. People have developed headcanons for headcanons of someone elses headcanon. When there is no motifivation past projected motivation for a character to act, see, or do something.

This is a general PSA to all fans out there, to relook at your headcanons you think are based in canon and re-evaluate how close or far they have drifted. Just so we keep character behavior misinformation at a minimum.

I've returned with more orange theory bc i cannot be stopped

I think if orange has any relation to logan, that when he'll be revealed, it will be heavily tied to his conflict with roman. they've been bickering since literally episode one, and a handful of logan's orange-related outbursts (or just his regular outbursts xd) are caused *by* roman.

and of course roman isn't doing this on purpose- but I think when he meets orange, he would also be super angry?? like, he's finally meeting the guy that caused logan to have so much distain for him.

plus, I don't think logan *wants* to be this upset with roman. they just have conflicting goals, but logan is smart enough to know that it's not a personal thing (cough but this is also tied to his inability to realize he even has feelings cough) and he always *tries* to include roman's wants/needs

but maybe i just yearn for logince angst, idk

King Creativity's name was not Romulus, but instead, either Numitor or Amulius

Roman, as a name, derives from the Roman Empire, The City of Rome, and being a Roman Citizen. Rome comes specifically from the story of Romulus and Remus

Romulus and Remus were twin brothers who were also princes who were also demigod children of Mars, the god of war. When it came time to pick the name of their kingdom, they got into a fight, and Romulus killed Remus, winning and naming it after himself.

King Creativity being Romulus only has any connection to Roman, and also says that Remus is dead and buried in the Aventine Hill.

King Creativity's name would not be Mars because Mars is a War God, and has no connection to Creative Endeavors, so going further up the family tree:

Romulus and Remus' brother was Rhea Silvia.

Rhea Silvia's Dad was Numitor. He was supposed to ascend to the throne, but was overthrown by his brother, Amulius.

I think Numitor makes sense as a name because he's supposed to be One Creativity, but was split by something out of his control, as well as being the Grandfather of Romulus and Remus. Also, the added bonus of there being no -an, -on, or -us ending, having no connection to either the light or the dark sides.

Amulius is equally cool for lore purposes, as he was both Good and Bad. A good king but used sly tactics to reach them. I like the -us ending, which implies that he leans further toward the dark side than the light side of the mindscape, and gives Patton more of a "reason" to cause the Creativity Split: He wants a "good" form of Creativity

I think this is a peak headcanon. I don't have a specific one for King Creativity in my head. I just use whatever is most convenient. But this is certified peak.

Hitting all the Sanders sides with the agender beam, but each for different reasons:

Logan: Lacks any strong feelings about his gender identity. He presents as masculine simply because it's convenient to mirror Thomas.

Patton: Gender presentation is entirely dictated by the bit. Often masculine presenting because of the running 'dad character' bit.

Janus: Gender is another lie (social construct) made in the name of a lie (society). Janus refuses to participate on principle.

Roman: Gender is not a lie, it is a performance! Totally different. Roman proudly preforms princely masculinity.

Remus: Gender is a performance which Remus is having a lot of fun taking way over the top (drag king)

Virgil: To avoid identity spirals, Virgil prefers not to think about his gender or lack thereof (trying to understand an absent feeling or choose a label when you feel apathetic to all options is so confusing)

Roman is the only side who has a strong preference on pronouns ("Excuse me, I am still a man! A manly man!") while the rest don't really care; They mostly mirror Thomas's pronouns for simplicity's sake. Further nuance anyways:

Logan likes the familiarity of he/him

Patton only has a preference when there's a pun involved

Janus particularly enjoys neopronouns, xenopronouns, and other descriptors that break societal norms around gender.

Roman is strictly he/him

Remus loves when people use a multitude of pronouns for him in the same sentence so she can achieve max genderfuckery

Virgil slightly panics when people ask him about his preferred pronouns; Feels like the honest answers of "I don't care" or "none" draw too much attention, so he usually just defaults to "he/him is fine"

And as a bonus, what niche labels I think they'd pick from the ones I often cycle through as a labelflux agender:

Logan: cassgender (gender being irrelevant/unimportant to one's identity)

Patton: gender-apathetic (apathy towards one's gender identity)

Janus: erenth (a term describing one who does not participate in the concept of gender, instead embracing the self-hood that precedes the construct)

Roman: agender man (specifically as someone who does not experience any inherent connection to any gender, and instead identifies as a man by choice)

Remus: genderfree (being free of gender and thus completely undefined by the construct)

Virgil: unlabeled (choosing not to label one's gender or lack thereof)

Oh and as a result, C!Thomas is all of the above all at once. (like me!)

I would also like to bring up Roman is still extremely feminine. If you look at his characterization especially around post Thomas going all in on being publicly gay. They prince becomes a lot more feminine. He has been described as one of the more feminine sides and I dont want to see that side of this side erased (god puns will lead me dead one day)

I was rewatching the secret Santa episode and I couldn't help but notice not only how Roman reacted initially to Logan having him (with him being like "oh, no" and nervous almost?? And then genuinely shocked when it was a nice gift) and when Logan asked Roman to collaborate on next steps with his data with him and Roman seemed surprised that Logan was asking him

I just think that goes to show just how much emotional damage Logan has given Roman over the course of the series

I think about these two a lot

orange theory time >_<

I wholeheartedly believe that the orange side is going to have an extravagant outfit, for so many reasons. extravagant, as in: a punk, a cowboy, *something* dramatic.

I think specifically because the orange side is obviously going to have something to do with logan, and if orange is super dramatic and overdressed, it would completely go against logan's business man attire.

plus the other dark sides are also so over-dressed! I'm gonna specify how dramatically dressed remus is, specifically because remus is intrusive thoughts, and I think thats why he has such a big tie to the orange side? the orange side clearly has something to do with logan, and whatever it is, logan is trying to repress it. maybe it's shame, anger, embarrassment, whatever it is, logan doesn't want it. it's *intrusive* to him.

this is also just me theorizing remus being tied to the orange side, because.. c'mon. I think whatever is happening that it is 100% absolute mesmerizing to remus.

okay I kind of lost the plot.. but.. orange side is gonna be super dramatic I think, just because logan is so super serious business man, and if something that derives from him (the orange side) is so against that, it would be so cool and conflicting.

also! this brings me to the theory that orange side is anger! logan would be so annoyed at the fact that something so overwhelming and dramatic is related to him somehow? like he's livid.

my headcanon, for the court to consider, is that Roman and Remus share thoughts, in a way.

to preface, I’m not sure how. the Sides can have thoughts independant of C!Thomas’, but it’s shown throughout the series that they can (ex: Virgil feeling insignificant in Accepting Anxiety, Roman popping the idea that they can all shapeshift into Thomas’ head during Making Some Changes(?), etc.)

so, considering Logan’s explanation that the two of them used to be connected, or one Side, as well as the prior tangent, and the fact that they’re both known as Creativity, I headcanon they can both consciously, and subconsciously, share thoughts with each other

oh that's super cool! can't imagine that's a positive for them considering how they are in canon right now- but essentially telepathy like this is would work AWESOME on pranks or secrecy related shenaniganery.
