I’m married! That’s the main thing. I’m married and I couldn’t be more happy to finally, officially, and legally share my life and world with JJ. Aside from that, it’s all new music and brewery work lately. My life’s pretty steady right now, and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m definitely itching to get back on a stage, though. I can’t wait to get back to work on my music, maybe I can even pull JJ along on tour with us.

Nineteen days. In nineteen days, I’ll have a husband. I won’t just be Alex-of-All-Time-Low anymore. I’ll get a chance to be who I’m supposed to be, with the man I’m supposed to love. The person I’d kill for, who I’ve killed for before already. And in two days I’ll be 32, but I’d rather focus on the ball and seeing how handsome JJ’s going to look in his tux than focus on my birthday. I fucking hate birthdays.

I’ve never been a big proponent of public romance. It’s never been my style, because I know fans will see it and internalize it and try to give my partner hell for “taking their chance away”. It sucks, but that’s what happens. JJ is different. From day one, I knew. This goofy kid with the splinters and burns from working with wood and metal, he’d be mine immediately. We went on a date a week later. Second date, two days after the first. It’s been two years and I still don’t regret giving him my number.
