Not that she didn’t enjoy every part of him, she did — of course…to a degree…but what she enjoyed the most was how he woke up after a night of them making love. It was incredibly different from any other morning. His normal routine was almost robotic, his eyes would open as if someone pushed a start button, he’d take a breath and push him up. He would sit there for a moment, like he was a cold car that needed to be warmed up before taking off. He would get up and pad silently into the bathroom.
But on mornings when they completely became one…
Hinata remembered the first morning she noticed. Dark eyes would flutter open. A certain shine was normally there, but that day it made her blush. His lips parted and body completely relaxed.
He rolled onto his back. Arms would stretch upward then behind his head. The deep breath would fill his lungs and the whole time he was watching her. “Morning.” His voice so low, almost weak.
Hinata pushed herself to sit up. Navy hair spilling over her shoulders. “How did you sleep?” She asked.
He closed his eyes as he pushed himself up. He sat there, warming himself and still keeping his eyes on her — like he was afraid she’d vanish. He leaned over, one hand on her thigh. They’d share a kiss. It was delicate, there was no rushing. He was open. A type of open only she brought out of him.
He nodded, savoring the taste of herself that he left on her lips. “Good,” replied Sasuke.
She slid tresses of navy behind her ear. His eyes still warm on her. “You?”
Hinata nodded. “Very good.”
Instead of getting up as he normally would, Sasuke replaced himself in the bed. “You have to get up,” laughed Hinata.
He grunted but made no efforts to move. He asked her to join him and before they were aware they were back in the same position again.
“You’re going to be late,” Hinata managed, as he kissed her neck.
