THIS NARUTO OVA CALLED "The Cross Roads" IS THE CUTEST THING EVER
Like seriously Sasuke is the most adorable little bean in this OVA, it’s so freakin’ adorable istg and the SNS feels are overflowing!!
To start off with, this OVA is set right after the Land of Waves arc AKA the part of the manga where Sasuke’s body moved on its own to save Naruto. Sasuke even has a dream about it at the very start!
And oh what’s that? Bandages on S'uke’s neck? From saving his one and only *cough* best friend? You betcha.
So then the plot starts and cute little Team 7 go on their mission - with Kakashi late of course. I mean, just look at that face. He looks so shocked, he’s actually showing real emotion like he is literally so precious ;U;
(THE SUBTEXT IN THIS SCENE IS KILLING ME OMG):
I’ll just leave this here *clears throat* Ahem…moving on.
And then there are his interactions with Nardo throughout the length of the whole damn OVA…
He’s so protective of him, but still thinks he’s the biggest loser around but can’t help but worry over him when he chases off after the kidnappers (lol three guesses who was kidnapped XDDD)
^^^^^This is the real Sasuke, when’s he’s with that total moron Naruto. You can just plainly see how easy Naruto draws different emotions out of him, whether it’s annoyance, frustration, worry and even fondness. He’s not even thinking about hiding them behind a stoic mask, he just feels the emotions intensely because hey that’s what Naruto does to you, even and especially to someone like Sasuke.
So once they catch up with the bad guy an awesome fighting scene takes place, NaruSasu fighting style! It’s so sweet watching them have each other’s backs and everything, even after the Land of Waves Sasuke is so determined to fight together with Nardo and be by his side. I mean…
JUST ADORABLE. Even when he is injured and bleeding, Sasuke’s main concern is still Naruto (likewise that even tho Nardo got beat down he’s worried about Sasuke ;///;)
And then at the very end, when they’ve defeated the bad guy, Nardo collapses from exhaustion of course…
Look at the softness in Sasuke’s gaze as he looks at his Usuratonkachi:
And now look at it when he looks at the bad guy:
…Meaning that this was in Sasuke’s memory all along.
Case in point: HE IS SO IN LOVE WITH NARDO OKAY LIKE THERE IS NO DOUBTING THIS EVIDENCE LOOK AT THE FACTS PEOPLE!
After 3+ years Sasuke still remembers this, still has it locked away in the depths of his mind. Even though it was just another mission, it wasn’t. Yes there is Orochimaru side-plot but more to the point
I just think that Naruto will always be able to elicit some sort of emotional response from Sasuke; it’s not possible for him to be around Nardo and just feel nothing. He can’t turn his feelings of like he did with Sakura or with Karin. Naruto will always manage to make him feel, whether Sasuke likes it or not.
My advice: Go and watch this OVA and drown in the SNS/classic Team 7 feels. You won’t regret it and that’s the truth.
