I published my Emperor epilogue! I had a lot of fun working on this and am glad I could finally release it.
This is a draft of an extra conversation I'm adding to the Emperor Romance Epilogue mod I'm working on in which Tav and the Emperor step away from the party. This scene is mostly fluff, but I wanted to add something like this since the game doesn't have any tender, romantic moments with the Emperor besides the one romance scene. I have to adjust a few of the animations and try to reduce the clipping, but it should look something like this when it is finished.
As part of the Emperor romance epilogue mod I'm working on, I'm adding a variation on Avatar Karlach's immolation ending. She can ask the Emperor to eat her brain before her heart overheats so he can absorb her memories - in her final act, she ensures that he will never be alone again.
I've added animations and cameras to the opening of the Elfsong romance dialog for the Emperor Romance Epilogue mod. I'm still figuring out how the timeline (cutscene) editor works, but I'm glad I've gotten this far. This dialog has the same flow as the existing Elfsong dialogs, so it has the characters start on the bed and then walk to in front of the painting for the bulk of the interaction.
That weird blue/pink glow in the middle of the room is one of my party members; the game puts them there and they are hidden for the dialog, but for some reason it doesn't hide that effect.
As part of the Emperor Romance Epilogue mod I'm working on, I'm making an interjection for the Emperor in the mind flayer urge dialog (animations to be added); he offers to help and gives you advantage on the roll to resist if you accept.
Custom Emperor Epilogue
I'm working on a mod (very much still a work in progress) that allows the Emperor to come to the epilogue party if you are in a relationship with him and gives him a post-battle scene in the Elfsong Tavern like the fleshed out romance options have. I hope to have this work for both illithid and non-illithid Tavs.
I just finished the first draft of all of the dialogue. This conversation (animations to be added) is at the party and includes a path I added in which Tav and the Emperor use Orpheus's power to free illithids and make a renegade colony. Its currently using the automatically selected camera angles and seems to favor the close-up camera; it really shows off how glowy his eyes are.

I'm getting closer to finishing the Emperor in the dryad love test mod. I have to retime the timeline phases to get rid of the pauses, but the dialogue animations are in.

Thank you everyone for your kind words about the custom dialogue! I also made a mod that gives The Emperor most of the illithid powers that the player gets. I have to test them a little more and then I can release them for anyone that would like to try them.
I'd like to see if I can add The Emperor to the love dryad next. I'm not sure how well it will go since editing existing scenes can be pretty hard to do (it's why I connected the modded follower dialogue to the original with nested dialogue instead of just modifying the original), but I just plopped him into the dryad scene and it teleported him to the grove area correctly. Hopefully I'll get lucky and the original dryad logic will work for The Emperor.

I was able to de-statue The Emperor in the custom finale follower dialogue I made! I tried to pick existing animations that at least somewhat fit the lines. Unfortunately Tav doesn't react since emotion events aren't working in the editor yet, but I might be able to get around that with more animations. This is so awesome that this is possible. I have a few other ideas for mods for him.
Custom Emperor Finale Follower Dialogue
I used MoonGlasses (an unlocked version of the BG3 Toolkit available at https://www.nexusmods.com/baldursgate3/mods/12308?tab=description) to expand The Emperor's follower dialogue in the finale! He turns into a statue for his lines because I didn't assign them animations (I think), but it's functional. The Emperor is my favorite character in anything, and I'm so happy that something like this is possible with mods. I would love to make/be on a team that makes a fully fleshed out Emperor romance arc someday.
The hug is a little janky... he really needs his own unique animation for it. Tav's relatively small head in his arms is adorable, though.
