Sasuke gave a nod of agreement, before tucking his menu to the side of the table. With that he started gathering a few napkins for himself, setting them out neatly in-front of him. Afterwards, he glanced up at her and pushed the napkin dispensor into her direction. “Are you ready to order?”

She suddenly realized what she was doing; she quickly darted her eyes to the menu, staring at the rice dishes and the soups–now wasn’t the time to appreciate life changes, it was time for food. Her stomach churned and growled as her green orbs glued onto the photos of the dishes , mouth watering just slightly. “Mm,” she stared at the soup section, eyeing the coconut soup with chicken. “Tom Kha Gai.” She looked back up at Sasuke curiously. “What will you get?”

 Sasuke lowered his menu. His dark orbs lifted to meet her own. “Hmm.” His index finger pressed against a picture of one of the soups, tapping at it a couple of times.. Garden Minestone soup. It looked boring compared to some of the other dishes but he decided due to the tomato based broth he should enjoy it. Not to mention all the vegetables would be good for him. “This looks fine.”

Sakura looked at him, eyes fixed on him. He was being awfully sweet, and it pulled the corners of her lips up into a small smile. “How about this–” she started, entering the restaurant as he held the door for her. “–I’ll pay if you don’t like it?” She said quickly, almost asking him.

  Sasuke gave a nod, with the intention of expressing his complete compliance. He thoroughly intended however to pay. Even if the Uchiha didn’t end up liking this, he could simply claim he did. It wouldn’t be a total lie regardless. He hadn’t got to spend much time with anyone since his return. Most seemed to avoid him or give him a blank stare. He pretty much only had team 7 like he always had. So now he could preserve these bonds. Make memories. Instead of destroying them. “Sure.”

“I’d laugh if you liked the food, Sasuke-kun.” She let out a small giggle. As the hostess came by, Sakura gave a polite smile, telling the hostess it was just the two of them. They followed the hostess to a booth next to a window. Sakura thanked the hostess as she sat down, eyes fixed on Sasuke. His eyes, skin, and body language seemed different. Maybe it was just him growing, maybe it was his politeness that threw her off, or maybe, just maybe, it was just because Sakura was hungry. Either way, Sakura’s admiration for Sasuke as a person grew; without Sakura’s knowledge, she had a bit of a strange smile on her face.

  Sasuke’s narrowed, and his lips pressed tightly together. A quizical expression on his face. That smile, her staring. However his expression quickly regressed back to stoic as he gave a small shrug and snatched up the menu. “What are you planning on having?” The Uchiha glanced over some of the dishes. He had eaten at a place similar to this during his redemption travels. It hadn’t been all that bad. He peeked up from the menu to offer her a brief, and faint smile. Though his eyes were soft and welcoming.

She turned her head to face him, cheeks almost as pink as her hair. “Maybe I’m a little too hungry,” she said, turning her head back to cross the street; Soon enough, they were standing in front of a small restaurant–if nobody paid any attention, it might as well would have been a hole in the wall. “I hope you like it. My treat.”

Sasuke wasn't ticklish so its true his initial response was a blank stare and surprise. Though he felt obliged to play along with his daughter so he immediately let out a series of boastful laughter and his lips curled into a big grin. Perhaps it would be convincing enough for the girl as he squirmed beneath her, his laughter continuous.
