living in England when Queen Elizabeth II died was fucking crazy cuz i had to just sit there and see the government spend billions of pounds on her funeral while the cost of living crisis got worse daily. like oh the state can afford a massive funeral but you can’t afford to lower gas prices in the middle of winter? you’re just gonna let people freeze to death? you can’t bring minimum wage up to inflation? you can’t put caps on bus and train fares? you can’t give money to state schools and the NHS? you’re gonna let things keep getting more and more expensive while still wasting 15% of UK tax money on the royal family??? absolute joke of a country
