so called feminists: "actually women are naturally inferior at everything, including quiz game shows, beauty pageants, chess, and video games. we need a society that is segregated so that anyone who would ever have to potential to win against a woman is eliminated. this is actually far better than organizing sports into weight classes or different athletic/skill level based categories that ignore sex, like what wrestling and video/board game tournaments already do. I cannot accept the reality that men and women are the same species. this is actually how we truly protect women. by calling them weak pathetic losers who could never win against even the worst opponent, and preventing them from even playing at all."
actually conversion I had with one of these nerds:
me: "so you think men are better at literally everything, even things that do not require any physical ability whatsoever?"
terf: "yes! those should still be segregated by sex! males should not be playing against women ever. it's an unfair advantage"
me: "so my brother has an unfair advantage over me when playing fucking monopoly?"
terf: "yes. males are statistically better and managing finances, while women are irresponsible and lenient with spending money."
hey guys. I think the people who are literally unironicly saying "women are bad at money. this means they suck at board games" aren't actually feminists
No joke, that was the rethoric the Francoist regime in Spain used to justify women being legally underage regardless of age and unable to open bank accounts without their husbands or fathers permission. That law was effective until 1975.

The only way to keep Ace out of trouble~ 🍍 🔥
"Ace could have defeated Blackbeeard if he trained his Haki"
Gee, it's almost like a whole portion of the fight happened off screen. There's no reason to believe Ace didn't use Haki against Blackbeard. We didn't see much of their more hand to hand fight but Van Augur's comment when he praises Ace's basic fighting skills seem to support that he did use haki. It just wasn't enough against Blackbeard.
It couldn't have been enough against the man who managed to injure Shanks, who had his guard up. If haki was all it took to defeat Blackbeard, he wouldn't be shaping up to be (one of) the final antagonists.
Ace was very, very strong. Would have gotten even stronger if he'd survived Marineford. But, Blackbeard was much stronger. People just tend(ed) to not see it because he lay low for decades and made himself appear mediocre.
This!!
People also like to forget that Teach does not ever fight fair. Ace was trying to fight honourably (for example, the fact that he announced himself and let Teach prepare) against a man who does not care about honour and just wants to win the game. Not only that, but Teach’s crew were ALSO attacking Ace. This was not a 1v1 fight until Teach finally called his crew off (and we don’t really know if they STAYED out of it since like OP mentions, half the fight is off screen. We don’t know what it took to drag Ace all the way to the marines.)
Then there’s Teach’s devil fruit. A lot of people didn’t and still don’t know the insane capabilities of the Yami Yami no mi. Ace was caught off guard by the devil fruits nullification. That, along with the fact that Teach’s devil fruit is the natural enemy of Ace’s. Ace lacked critical information. Meanwhile, Teach had had years to study Ace’s fighting style. It’s implied several times that he and Ace were actually very close and Ace had lots of respect for Teach. He WATCHED Ace train with Thatch. He WATCHED Ace’s fights with Whitebeard.
Teach knew exactly what made Ace tick and what his capabilities were, whereas Ace had NEVER considered attacking his friend before Thatch’s murder.
There is so much nuance to their dynamic that impacted the outcome of the fight that, to be fair, is pretty glossed over, but it’s absolutely there if you care to dissect it. Even more than all the points here!
An update for users in Brazil and the United Kingdom
To continue our commitment to user safety and to comply with local laws, we will start using age groups to determine access to certain experiences.
People in Brazil or in the UK, who are 18 or older, will soon need to verify their age to change content label settings and view mature-labeled content. Until then, the settings will be locked to hide.
As a reminder, verification is handled by our age-assurance partner, k-ID. Tumblr won't have access to the information you submit, just the final age-verification result. Documents are deleted after confirmation, and facial scan data never leaves your device.
Questions? Contact Tumblr support or learn more about these changes here.
Mind you tumblr doesn’t even allow users to share nsfw and their flagging/‘mature’ system primarily targets completely sfw queer, trans and afab content and other totally non pornographic art/photos with virtually no way to combat it since they rarely check reports on the subject.
The platform DOES allow pornographic ads though and this ironically won’t be affected.
If you think this won’t affect you so it doesn’t matter, just remember this is the test run and they WILL keep pushing if there’s no push back.
People aren’t mad enough about this.
Selfie! 🎩 👒 🔥
Marco taking care of Ace up on patreon here!
I drew these really quickly a while ago when I was drawing Bridgerton lol! I just wanted to draw fem Ace and Sabo in some cute outfits. I figured i may as well share em!
Let’s be happy with mama! 🔥🌺
I have a question. Did Ace ever use a gag on Marco? I'm just curious, and if so, would you draw it?
Probably the other way around ngl. A moment of peace for the doctor xD
unfortunately I can’t post those kinda of drawings on tumblr tho thanks to the horrible censorship and automated moderation. I got nervous even just posting the bunny Ace drawing LOL
I have posts like that on patreon tho!
Bunny Ace for the soul 🔥
Dressed up with nowhere to go 🔥
Best believe by the end of the night his nice fancy clothes will be ruined too
Be careful of the double-speak in the Update Post.
Staff has officially posted an update regarding the reblog decoupling, and while they are reversing the change for now, we need to look closely at the language they are using. This is a classic example of corporate "double speak" designed to de-escalate a PR crisis while keeping the door open for the same harmful features later.
The Post: Reblog Update: We’re Reversing the Change
The Red Flag:
"We still believe there's a better version of how reblogs can work. One that gives every voice in a chain the credit it deserves. But we want to get there with you."
The Breakdown: When they say they want to give every voice the credit it deserves, they are still justifying the decoupling of notes. They are framing the destruction of the original creator's attribution as a feature for the rebloggers or the loss of community. Their goal hasn't changed. They just realized their current execution was a technical and social disaster.
They also mention working "directly with some of you." This often means selecting a small, curated group of "power users" who may not prioritize the accessibility or safety needs that we have been fighting for.
Reblogs in a chain now get their own notes
The reblog chain is one of the things that makes Tumblr unlike anywhere else. All the notes on reblogs are attributed to the original post, no matter which branch people actually liked or reblogged. We want to keep encouraging conversations, and give contributors the recognition they deserve.
Soon, you'll be able to like, reblog, or reply to any part of a reblog chain, and that note will go to that reblog's author. Each reblog will have its own counts, instead of one aggregated number from every version of the post. And yes, you’ll be able to like multiple posts in one chain.
If a reblog doesn't add anything, the love flows up to the last person in the chain who did. Your post doesn't lose notes just because people spread it quietly.
Past notes will stay on the original post — we're only changing what happens from here on out. Retroactively re-attributing all of them would be... a lot.
This is just the beginning. More changes are coming as we keep building this out – stay tuned!
Let's talk about reblog notes.
We rolled out a significant change to how notes work on reblogs, and the reaction has been strong. We're not going to pretend otherwise.
First things first: We're reversing the change. Your feedback in comments, emails, and especially reblogs, made clear that the rollout created problems we need to address before moving forward. We also should have communicated this differently from the start, and we didn't.
We still believe there's a better version of how reblogs can work. One that gives every voice in a chain the credit it deserves. But we want to get there with you.
In the coming days we'll share more on how we plan to do that, including ways to work directly with some of you on this and future changes before they ship.
Keep an eye on @staff for updates to come soon.
“People were VERY mad and we are losing money so you win this time,,, but rest assured we don’t ACTUALLY care and will try again soon.”
^^ fixed it for you again. Cartoon villain losing the battle type message.
I’m pleased you’re rolling back the change (for now) but it’s clear you aren’t listening. No one has ever cared about that. Creating communal posts is about sharing. You ALREADY get credit when you add to a post. Your NAME is on it. You want to promote competitiveness and individualism because you think it will increase posting via cheap engagement/rage bait and content theft but it won’t. Your user base is largely older who have been online for a long time and if we wanted that kind of miserable cycle we’d open Twitter.
Stop ‘fixing’ things that aren’t broken and leave us alone. There are plenty of REAL problems people have been begging you to address for years that you don’t care about.
If this change had stayed I most likely would have stopped posting here. Just leave it alone.

It’s very clear that you all have strong feelings about Tumblr and about this change. We hear you. The passion people have for how Tumblr works is one of the things that makes this place special.
As this rolls out over the next few days and you explore it, we’ll keep reading your replies and reblogs, so please keep sharing your questions, concerns, and ideas.
Your creativity has always been the heart of Tumblr, whether you’re the original poster or adding something brilliant in the reblogs, and nothing about this change is meant to limit that.
If you’d like to talk directly beyond the comments, leave a reply and we’ll follow up with as many of you as we can. We want to work with you to make Tumblr better.
“So we’ve noticed everybody absolutely hates this update and are all very angry at us. we’re still implementing it though and we’re not going to listen to you or anything, but feel free to leave feedback on this post we won’t ever look at!”
^^ I summarised for you guys
OPLA but redrawn as their anime counterparts :D
This was fun lol I might do another one
