(@Akashi) Family Gatherings
"I know." Sakura squeezed his hand lightly, grateful for that. They’d been together, officially, nearly two years year by now, though they were both too preoccupied with work to bother with the formality of that. But she knew she could rely on him. He glanced up, "If he plans to try and do what he did when I was young, he’ll regret even attempting to re-establish contact with me."
"Oh… Oh I know that tone." Akashi smirked. “Hopefully it doesn’t have to come to that. What exactly is he inviting you to anyways?”
Sakura gave a thin smile, “You’ve seen the result of me having to take that tone.” He’d seen it first hand, the time he’d lied to Natsuki about burning that doll. Though she’d gone easy on him then. She set aside the apple and picked up the letter, frowning at it. “His birthday, apparently. I’d forgotten that it was this time of year… There’s a company party that he wants me to go to, but he says it’s fine if I would rather come and meet him privately.”
"Which would you prefer?" Akashi titled his head. "Privately would be the most controlled... Party might be more fun?"
