tagged by @obiknights! thank you for thinking of me dear theo🩷
this is from a michael robinavitch x f!reader x jack abbot throuple idea (a la challengers) that has been plaguing me for a hot minute though I only just managed to get some words down! see my sideblog for the pitt here
Jack is sweet.
He brings you coffee on shift change when you’re working opposite schedules; walks you home with a respectful hand at your back when you’re on the same.
The couple times you’ve gone so far as to spend the night— or day, as it were— Jack asks you when adjusting the thermostat. Keeps a toothbrush for you in the bathroom cupboard. Wants you to be comfortable, he says.
So this is what reciprocation feels like.
no-pressure tags: @eupheme @ohheyitsokay and you, if you see this!
it’s been ten years and i can confirm that everything still happens so much. happy anniversary king
literally there’s so much joy to be found in being earnest. so much happiness in being sincere. anyone who tells you otherwise is just trying to get company for their misery.
you have permission to pick that 2 year old "abandoned" project back up. it's not mad at you for setting it aside. and maybe time and distance have helped ease or erase the things that made you put it down in the first place.

if you don't do anything else today,
Please have a moment of silence for the people who were killed instead of freed when news of emancipation finally reached the furthest corners of the american south.
have another moment for the ledgers, catalogs, and records that were burned and the homes that were destroyed to hide the presence of very much alive and still enslaved people on dozens of plantations and homesteads across the south for decades after emancipation.
and have a third moment for those who were hunted and killed while fleeing the south to find safety across the border, overseas, in the north and to the west.
black people. light a candle, write a note to those who have passed telling them what you have achieved in spite of the racist and intolerant conditions of this world, feel the warmth of the flame under your hand, say a prayer of rememberance if you are religious, place the note under the candle, and then blow it out.
if you have children, sit them down and tell them anything you know about the life of oldest black person you've ever met. it doesn't have to be your own family. tell them what you know about what life was like for us in the days, years, decades after emancipation. if you don't know much, look it up and learn about it together.
This is Juneteenth.
white people CAN interact with this post. share it, spread it.
sad feeling to try to mutualbait when the mutual you wanted to bait already finished their tumblr shift for the day
