im curious to know how u guys color ur lineart (if u do at all) like as in, do u just do a darker color of the base color or do u have a black outside line while the inner lineart is colorful etc idk i feel like there isnt many ways to do it but i am probably wrong my brain is very smal so id like to expand it

who is your favorite out of ur ocs?

omg thats like asking who of my Children is my fav... jk ofc i have bias >:3

to be honest though ive been pretty disconnected from my art lately, and in turn my ocs.. i still love em a lot ofc and always will but idk im sad i havent been giving them the attention they deserve... so instead i wanted to take this opportunity to highlight my fav ocs designed by a dear friend of mine who recently passed away ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

Welcome the skiltaire! i still feel so lucky i was able to own her, its an older design from 2020 that i got from when jazz was selling it like 2 years ago. i did redesign her slightly but i feel like i still kept the spirit and loveliness from the original intact (1st pic) while adding my own personal touches. i just love everything abt it, the colors, the species, the features, the characteristic face, etc i love her to bits and i will keep showering her with affection and adoration forever 💞

harmony the mlp sparkledog... originally it was just twilight being drawn as a sparkledog (1st pic, so awesome and clever) and i had found the artwork and loved it soo much so i asked jazz if i could purchase them and use it as an oc and they said yes! harmony is the guardian of the elements of harmony and can transform based on each element, looking like its original weilder. i commissioned jazz later for custom designs of the fluttershy and pinkie pie forms! i am sad i will never see their vision for the rest of the cast, but i still plan to make them eventually and hope to keep their spirit alive in them when i do.

honorable mention is this bacteria sparkledog that was made based on my submitted prompt, they used to run a sparkledog laboratory tumblr where they made wacky sparkledogs based off of asks, it was so amazing and i wish it was still around 💔

im making this both for myself and for others; they created so many amazing things i can keep cherishing forever, as well as showing their vast creativity and neverending kindness to other people and keeping their memory alive 💗

I'm in the middle of grieving myself- I recently lost my grandfather. It happened very quickly and I'm still kind of in shock he's gone.

It's not easy to grieve, but I promise you're not in this alone. Not by a long shot. If you reach out, there are so many people out there who are ready to listen and help you.

i thankfully have loving supportive friends, especially my bestie who helped me thru it when i first found out, i honestly think i would have been in much greater shambles had it not been for them.. so i will hang in there, and in time i will be fine and i know they will always live on in my heart 💗

honestly at some moments it all feels like a dream and that tomorrow i will wake up from it and everything will be back to normal. its selfish and stupid but i cant help it, it still doesnt feel real that someone can just be gone and you never get to talk to them again

There's something about ocs you can clearly tell the character they were based on that I love so much! Character that brought you so much joy you turned them into something of your own, doubled on that they were brought to life by someone you cared deeply about! (Originally I made this ask just about the designs but I felt I couldn't do that without mentioning Jazz themself, I recently lost someone close to me myself so I'm sorry for their loss but I know you'll keep their spirit alive when designing the rest of the forms, even if it takes some time to work to. Just trying is enough and I know they'd be proud of whatever you create.)

literally same here! i love furry bootleg ocs sooo much and i hate that theyre so hated on.. put some respect on naruto dogs name dammit!!! i also never really enjoyed making fanart for stuff i liked so i feel like its a cool way to both show love to (or improve) the source media and also u have a lil guy thats entirely yours to play around with 🧸
