“god HELP me.” the look on paris’s face when she spots her friend in the crowd is one of RELIEF and also CONCERN. “mayor frickin’ levi has completely pissed me off with this wedding.” he words are slurring as she grabs ahold of her friend, hoping she’s not as drunk as herself right now. “and that’s an INCREDIBLE statement coming from myself.” and the RANT continues. “EVERYONE know i love, love! this wedding, as much of a nut as he is, would have been just my CUP OF TEA except for the fact that it’s my BIRTHDAY.” there’s a small giggle as she attempts to stand up straighter. “what a great way to bring in the big TWO ONE, right?”
weddings were one of savannah’s favorite things, she had been a hopeless romantic since literal birth, she was pretty sure. currently she’s just vibing and enjoying the company of the entire town. sometimes small towns really were the best. all the sudden she gets caught off guard by a very drunk paris. “twenty one has never looked more gorgeous.” the brunette laughs as she holds onto her friend to stop her from falling on her face. “i promise we’ll get you a birthday cake or cupcake asap, miss drunky. just please don't throw up on me or yourself for that matter.”

“THERE YOU ARE.” the sigh of relief country boy riley j lets out is more than satisfactory when scanning brown eyes finally land on his intended target. weddings weren’t really his scene, he’d never been to one, actually, and for his first to be mayor levi’s — he chalks it up to bad luck. “if i had to stand alone mysteriously in the back for another thirty minutes i just might have died.” though he’s joking, he knows savannah is aware of his obvious social anxieties and the trouble he has even just showing up to these kinds of events. truth be told, he’s only here because of her, the one person he can’t seem to stop stepping out of his comfort zone for. savannah was positive she had been a hopeless romantic since well, forever. there was just something so magical about finding your person, wasn’t it? even if their mayor was a little kooky, it was obvious he had found his match in clara. however, when you invite an entire town to a wedding, it’s easy to get lost within the sea of people. it was even easier to showcase the drunk creeps that she managed to narrowly avoid in all the chaos. “here i am.” a laugh fell from her glossed lips as she looked at her best friend when they crossed paths again. “don’t worry, cowboy, i’m all yours for the rest of the night.”
“THAT GROOMSMEN OVER THERE KEEPS GIVING YOU THE EYES.” nikolai can’t contain his expansive grin, the observation really tickles him. “don’t look back yet, but he totally wants to take you in the bathroom for a wedding hookup.” if he wasn’t so drunk, nikolai probably would’ve kept the observation to himself but the effects of his fourth drink from the bar are weighing heavy on him, and suddenly he no longer feels as miserable as he did at the start of the wedding. savannah can’t help the roll of her eyes at his statement. obviously nikolai is very drunk off his ass at this moment in time, so really it’s hard to take anything he says seriously. nevertheless, she could feel a pair of eyes on her that makes her spin around to a face waving at her. “yeah, he’s also twice my age and sporting a wedding ring.” the brunette let out a soft laugh, “what do you think, nik? should i add homewrecker to my resume?” she jokes, humoring her drunk friend.

as far as zola’s concerned, the mayor’s wedding is just an EXCUSE to indulge in free alcoholic beverages, something she HOPES there are plenty of at the reception later on. for now though, she’ll have to make it through the ceremony FIRST. there’s a feeling of RELIEF when she pots a familiar face, approaching them with a bright smile. “ i know i TOTALLY made fun of this before BUT — i’m actually not mad at the setup so far. ”
anyone could tell you, savannah just loved weddings. she loved love, plus she never missed an opportunity to get dressed up. so it was not an understatement to say she was excited. “see, i told you, z. weddings bring out the best in everyone.” the brunette sighed dreamily at her friend before winking, “plus, we can take total advantage of that open bar later."
“savannah!” gwen called out to her friend, smile appearing on her face before she made her way over to her. people had begun gathering outside of the church and it looked as though everyone in town had actually decided to turn up for the mayor and clara. “you look gorgeous.” she complimented, smiling fondly. that wasn’t hard though when you looked like savannah did. “i’m actually kind of excited for the wedding.” ( @savannahraes )
the day had finally arrived. mayor levi was known to throw very over the top events and savannah was sure his wedding would be no different. as she waited outside the church, she could hear the little old ladies gossiping about the low back on her dress. all she could do is laugh as her friend appeared. “oh, says you, miss thang.” the brunette beamed at her as she nodded, “me too. mayor levi might be a little off his rocker sometimes but him and clara are a match made in heaven.”

BESIDES HIS MA AND GRANDPARENTS, HE KNEW HE COULD COUNT ON SAVANNAH TO BE HAPPY FOR HIM. “i would’ve told you what i was up to but i wanted to see your reaction.” he laughs. “what do you think about the color? i wanted black but the dark blue was the only one left, i think it’s growing on me.”
“well, you know what they say. beggars can’t be choosers.” the brunette teased before shaking her head. “seriously, it’s perfect. and i fully expect to uphold my passenger seat reign in this truck too." a small smile danced on her lips as she looked at her best friend. really, she was queen of being the worst driver ever, therefore the years and years of savannah sitting passenger with riley. just casual friend stuff.

one of her favorite places to grab a quick bite while tossing through mountains of papers full of common addition and subtraction . running on three cups of coffee for the day , brooke wasn’t her most pleasant to say the least . she was only half way through her papers when she realized she had ran out of her ink in her favorite pink pen , grabbing her stack of papers , pushing them in her binder and heading out to her car . she pushed the door open , a heavy thump knocking against another person and her eyes widening as the large binder hit against the ground below her . “ shi — i’m so sorry ! oh my god i didn’t even see you . ” her words came out frustrated although she didn’t mean for them to do so , her day not being as easy as she desired .
for someone who no longer worked at her family’s diner full time, she was sure there a lot. her shift at the stables ended and she figured she’d stop by the diner before heading home. though what was not on her agenda was completely colliding with someone and getting hit by a door. “oh no, you’re fine ! don’t even worry about it !” savannah offered the older female a kind smile as she picked up her binder. brooke was a regular at the diner and it looked like she had truly been through it. “i hope all your stuff’s okay though?”

EIGHT MONTHS OF SAVINGS AND HERE WE ARE. a brand new dark blue pickup truck. if riley were being honest with himself, he thought he’d never save up enough on his own. at least not in the amount of time it took him. he’s impressed with himself and also over the moon with joy. “d’ya like it? it’s brand new.”
savannah can’t help but absolutely marvel at the truck. she knew how long and how hard he worked for it and she still couldn’t believe her eyes. “ri, oh my gosh, you didn't. she’s a beauty.” the brunette gushed excitedly. “there’s no one more deserving, really. you earned this.”
there’s a THICK scab mending the skin of his knuckles. the THROBBING pain he feels spreading through his jaw is a result of ANOTHER fight he managed to end up in. this time it was for GOOD reason. protecting one of his students that he tutors on thursday morning’s from her wacked out step father. the only PROBLEM is that the man was TWICE his size, and belaire just WOULDN’T back down. “it’s not AS BAD as it LOOKS.” he mutters, not wanting to cause any unnecessary worry. he can take care of himself, or so he wants everyone to believe. @mapleviewstarters
savannah can’t help but worry as she sees his face. it’s just in her nature, however she tries not to push too hard and instead offers him an ice pack. “here, this should help with the swelling.” the brunette offers a small smile before pushing a menu towards him she figures it's the least she could do. “what can i get you? it’s on the house, really.”
zola was DRAINED, summer was over and that meant the new dance season was starting.she’d been up for what seemed like HOURS the night before, picking out music for the new routines she would need to start choreographing soon, and was paying for her lack of sleep with a migraine so strong she could barely move just a few hours earlier. “please tell me you have some ibuprofen with you? my head is STILL killing me.” @mapleviewstarters
“come on, it’s me we’re talking about. when do i not have ibuprofen on me?” the brunette replied as she searched through her purse and pulled out the bottle. really, her purse was full of anything and everything in such a mom friend way. if you ever needed anything, it was probably in that big purse of hers. “oh and i brought you some food from the diner. when’s the last time you ate, zo?” savannah asked, trying not to seem overly concerned.
there’s a classic look in her eyes whenever she’s about to say something completely off the wall. “I was listening to a podcast earlier where people were sharing their wildest stories from their childhood.” the many impulsive things she did herself as a preteen, mostly to put her parents through hell, run through her mind as she searches for some of the worst she got caught doing. “what’s the craziest thing you did when you were younger?” she’s curious, and also in need of a good laugh. “I destroyed my piano teacher’s bathroom for no reason at all other than the fact I was extremely bored and wasn’t very fond of her.” @mapleviewstarters
savannah really needs to think about the other’s question. truthfully, she was a good kid for the most part, probably in fear of getting in trouble. however, there were definitely times when she tried to let loose. the brunette let out a soft laugh as she listened to the other’s story. “let me guess she immediately dropped you after that?” she rose an eyebrow before shaking her head, “oh god. hmm, there was this time i tried to sneak out of my house by climbing down the roof, you know like in the movies? yeah, i fell and broke my arm. oh and this time i started a small fire at the diner. totally not my fault though.”
