I agree with the original quotation so much. I had a student who I struggled with so much during independent reading pick up Maus from the classroom library. His math teacher told me she had to ask him to put the book away during her class. He came back after a day to borrow Maus II for the weekend, and when he returned to school on Monday, he told me he had finished the entire thing on Saturday morning and was said that he had nothing else to read the rest of the weekend.
