Urgent Humanitarian Asylum Request from Gaza – Coordination Required for Evacuation via ICRC

To the Honorable Embassy [Sweden, Norway, Belgium, France, Spain, Ireland] or any embassy who can help getting me out of Gaza

My name is Mohammed Majed Ahmad Al-Madhoun, born on June 20, 1999, currently residing in northern Gaza Strip, along with six members of my immediate family, and my married sister and her two daughters, who now live with us in the ruins of our bombed home.

We were displaced to southern Gaza between November 2024 and January 2025 due to the intensifying bombardment. Since returning to our destroyed house, we have constructed a makeshift shelter in which we struggle to survive.

I am a professional graphic designer, working remotely with a Swiss company, Bamboo Montreux, yet due to the lack of electricity and internet access in northern Gaza, I am unable to maintain a stable income or regular workflow. Many companies have declined to hire me under these conditions, despite my broad experience and strong portfolio.

Each day, we face the constant terror of airstrikes, drones, and bombardment. There is no electricity, no water, no connectivity, no safety, and no future. My dream of establishing a design studio and building a meaningful life has been shattered. All I now wish for is to survive — to be evacuated to a safe country where I can rebuild my life and contribute to society.

I am writing to urgently request your humanitarian intervention, by coordinating with the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) to facilitate my safe evacuation through the Kerem Shalom crossing, as this is currently the only viable route. I am unable to leave Gaza independently, despite several attempts.

Noha Ayyad, a Palestinian from Gaza, specifically from Shujaiya. Her family was forcibly displaced from their homes to the southern Gaza Strip, and they now live in tents in the central area, They are in a small tent suffering from a lack of water and food, including children who were deprived of their basic rights to education and life like the rest of the children in the world. The Israeli Defense Forces completely bombed their house, and they lost their business. Her brothers worked in the clothing trade and had a clothing distribution shop. It was destroyed along with the house. They lost their work and all their money, and they no longer had a place to return to.

Her mother suffers from arthritis and back pain, and her brother suffers from paralysis in his right leg and needs regular treatment. He also suffers from a lack of necessary medicines in Gaza, as you know.

Hello, my name is Basmala Almadhoun, and I’m 19 years old. I come from a family of seven. In 2023, I graduated from high school with a score of 91%, and I had planned to pursue my dream of studying dentistry at university. I had always imagined spending my days studying hard and working toward a brighter future. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to experience any of that, as the war in Gaza shattered my dreams.

The university I was going to attend was completely destroyed 😔💔in a bombing, and since then, my family and I have been living through unimaginable hardships. The Israeli army ordered civilians to evacuate their homes and head to the south of Gaza for safety. My family and I first sought refuge at Al-Nasr Children's Hospital in the north, then moved to my sister’s house in Jabalia. However, just after we arrived, a neighboring house was bombed, partially destroying my sister's home, and we narrowly escaped with our lives.

On November 15, 2023, we were forced to move once again, this time to Deir al-Balah, where we are now living in a small tent, as if we’ve gone back 50 years in time. We cook over an open fire, wash our clothes by hand, and survive without electricity, gas, or the internet. Prices are high, and we can barely afford basic necessities like food, cleaning supplies, and clothing. My father lost his job, leaving us with no source of income.😭💔

An entire year of my life has been lost, and so has my dream. By now, I should have completed my first year of university. I am asking for help not just to survive, but to rebuild my life and future.

Why do I need help?

To reunite my family and help us temporarily relocate to a safe place.

To have hope for a new beginning and a chance to recover from the devastation of war.

To rebuild our home and find proper shelter.

To resume my studies abroad and finally pursue my dream of studying dentistry at a prestigious university.

I am speaking to you today as we approach the year of the continuation of the fierce war that has not spared any stone or human beings.

7-10-2023 /// 9-9-2024

I am Mohammed Al-Madhoun from Palestine, Gaza. I am 25 years old, single. I graduated from the university college, majoring in multimedia. My current situation is like any Palestinian struggling for life to survive and live like any human being on earth. I have ambitions and hopes that I have sought to achieve over and over again, despite all the difficult circumstances I have been through. I have design skills and I love graphic design, drawing and participating in training courses in my field.

Since the war on Gaza began, my family and I have been displaced to more than 5 places. My father lost his job, I also lost my job as a graphic designer. I had an office in the UCASI incubator, the place was completely destroyed, as was my father's workplace at the Islamic University. The incubator was completely bombed and my work was gone, and the Islamic University was also completely bombed and my father's work was gone.

The war separated me and my family from my brother, uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. My tragic story began at the beginning of the war when the Israeli army asked all Gaza citizens living in northern and central Gaza to evacuate. The area where my family and I lived is where our beautiful home is located. We save every penny to establish our dream home, to study at university, to build our future and to achieve our lost dreams to avoid living in poverty and lack of money, which is expensive these days.

The Israeli army asked us to move to the south several times, where we were in Al-Nasr Children's Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip, and we moved from there to my sister's house in Jabalia, and at that time the house next to my sister's house was bombed and partially destroyed, and we miraculously escaped death at that time, and this is my sister's destroyed house

Here also, a skin disease has spread that has no cure. The existing treatment is a painkiller that relieves it for two days, then it comes back stronger. Unfortunately, this treatment is expensive, and I cannot afford it for myself either. It costs more than $30 every three days.
