Today Iâm coming like from my bedroom because âspring breakâ which is more like Spring Catch up because Iâll still be doing homework and cleaning.Â
On the positive front Iâm super excited because the flyers I put up for animation club were a success! Three people have contacted me and two of them want to be members getting me 7/10 of the members I need! Hopefully in the next couple of weeks Iâll get the full ten.
So enough about me lets talk about games!
TLDR: Disney makes terrible games, Nick does too but they at least pretend to try, and Cartoon Network manages to make decent or even good games.
First I want to talk about something that has bothered me for a very long time. How come Disney always makes atrocious video games for their shows. Like itâs so ridiculous to me because Disney has enough money that they donât have to show ads for anything other than their shows on their channels, the same with Nickelodeon. Have any of you ever played the Wreck it Ralph game because I have and it is a plague among games. Wreck it Ralph, a movie about games, had the potential to be a great game, or various different good games, and Disney could not even make it a decent game.
Nickelodeon recently put out a Spongebob game and itâs so bad, itâs not nearly as bad as the Wreck it Ralph game, because I could actually play through a few levels. Itâs strength is definitely the multiplayer because if I hadnât been playing with my siblings I would have died of boredom. They also have this Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle game that my brother and younger cousins never play for more than ten minutes.
Then thereâs Cartoon network, I havenât played a lot of their games, but every game Iâve played by them Iâve enjoyed. Theyâre Steven Universe phone game attack the light is not only really pretty, itâs fun to play. I mention it being pretty because the games from Nick and Disney looked cheap, but looking cheap doesnât necessarily make it a bad game. The other game I played by Cartoon network is an Adventure Time game for the PS4. It doesnât look the best and the camera angle doesnât change, but the game itself is still entertaining, if not a little difficult.
I just don't get it. I could forgive Cartoon network and even Nick for putting out terrible games because Iâve never thought they were swimming in money. Cartoon network seems to actually try to put out good games, they even get the creators of the shows involved. Nick is about what Iâd expect from people who are trying to pawn bad games off on children and act like itâs the best thing since sliced bread as if Nintendo doesnât exist. Disney seems to have no respect for video games at all because if they cared all of their games wouldnât be such crap. Theyâre games are literally running off the fact that Disney put out a movie so hereâs a game to go along with it.Â
I donât remember the second thing I was going to talk about, which is probably for the best because this is a long post.
So have any of you ever played a games by any of these three? If so what did you think?
