“I’d say your odds are PRETTY GOOD on that one, yeah,” he said, flashing her a tired smile. He followed her eyes to where their son sat in tears, stuck in the day care’s time out. Charlie WANTED to go get him – to give him a hug and stop the crying, but he stopped himself. Luke had to learn sometime. He glanced back at Alex. “Want me to take him? You get a few hours sleep while I manage the little monster,” he said, gently nudging her with his elbow. “You need rest, Alex.” A smirk tugged at his lips. “And at least one of us shouldn’t be a ZOMBIE in the morning…”
