Saying No.

Good morning! Boy is it hard to say no when you want to say yes because you have such a giving heart! God blessed me to be a server or many so it is so hard to not be able to help. I used to work for a school that I thought I was family. Then our son came and they made me choose to put him in child care at 14 days old or loose my job…well I chose our baby boy! We had just gotten home after being in the hospital for 5 days and he was still struggling with breathing issues. There was no way I was letting someone else care for him at such a young age and with the struggles he was having.

Well fast forward 7 months and the Bus yard manager keeps reaching out to see if I would like to come back and just work for him sub driving once in a while. Y’all it is a 35 minute drive one way then I would drive 30-1 hr and then the 35 min home. With that being said, he is the ONLY one who stayed in touch and cared for us and the baby…so telling him no was so hard :(. However it is hard with gas prices being the way they are to make the drive, much less helping a place that kicked us to the curb :( I miss driving bus ( most days) but we just can’t justify the drive for what they would pay.

Ohh and to top it off… I now have to drive to and from the Physical Therapist 30 min away twice a week for leg issues, so I am even having to say no to other things I used to do with the baby. I am a consultant with Pampered Chef and I LOVE hosting parties and having a blast! That is just growing and so I know things will be changing soon and I will be able to say Yes a bit more. We only get one life so I would like to say yes to as much as I’m able to what is serving my family and others ❤️

Why is saying no so hard to do when you know you just can’t say yes? What are your thoughts? What have you had to say no to recently?

I’m Back!

ohhh it has been a long time and so much life has happened! Wow!!! What a whirlwind! I have to stop to catch my breath. It is so surreal still.

Sitting here at 3:20 am after feeding and changing the baby thinking….. I can’t believe I am now married ( again!), my kiddos are young adults, and I went from being an empty nester to married with a now 7 month old baby boy! 2 dogs, cat, 4 fish and a crazy Blessed life! Like seriously I have to pinch myself to make sure this is my reality! God is good!

I have prayed so so many days and nights for this life I am so blessed to be able to now live! Hey…not saying it is perfect and with our flaws and bumps in the road BUT it is a life I truly only ever dreamed of…not one I thought would ever be my reality!

I have so much to catch up on and update so stay tuned. Life is a blessing and filled with Grace and Mercy! Embrace every twist and turn because it goes fast!!

Ok so I’m so excited to be back with you all and can’t wait to post again, BUT it is 326 am and I really should sleep because the baby will be up and ready to start the day in 3 ish hours and let me just say…it is raining and I have yet to sleep much tonight ( my brain won’t quiet down haha) so I better try to sleep while I can. Keep your life free from the love of money. Be satisfied with what you have, for he himself has said, I will never leave you or abandon you.

Jesus will always be there for you no matter what! If we have a love for money( that comes and goes faster than we like) then we take our eyes off God and feel that he has forgotten us. BUT in all reality he is still there still watching over you but you are missing out on blessing he otherwise would have provided! He is a loving Father and wants to spoil you but when our sights are set on things of this world that are fleeting it makes it much harder to see that and to trust that. Today, trust that God is there and no matter what you are going thru don’t look to your worldly possessions for satisfaction look to your Heavenly Father as he wants a relationship with you... Trust him and watch how your life changes🙌🏼

So faith comes from what is heard, and what is heard comes through the message about Christ.

I know first hand that as soon as you feel you have taken 3 steps forward and things are going great, life out of no where and it no warning pushes you back 2-3 steps! We feel lost, afraid, insecure and confused however, we need to remember that we are not alone! God is with us every step of the way, through the good and the bad he is by our side. So remember when you find yourself stuck and lost that he is there and put your TRUST in him! Walk my FAITH and not by SIGHT ❤️🙌🏼

I understand where you are coming from. Money is tight. We want to get ahead instead of just scraping by. But life is chaotic. Between work - kids - cooking - cleaning - sports - etc, we barely have time to shower and wash our hair, right?! ♾

I relate to those feelings all too well. I said no to this opportunity for months because my life felt too busy yet i was so broke. . . Single working parent under one roof with 2 young middle schoolers I could barely keep my head above water! 💔 I didn’t have the extra time to do anything else but I also knew I couldn’t afford to keep going the way I was. My heart couldn’t handle much more. ~ So I said yes.

Even though I didn’t have the extra time.

Even though I had no experience.

Even though I knew nothing about the products.

Even though I was deathly afraid to post on social media.

I thought the TOP OF MY LIFE was finally when I found a JOB I loved as a bus driver! Never thought that I would ever qualify for that 😆🤦🏼‍♀️

I have worked my butt off to prove that it was a great choice to give me a chance and trust me with the lives of all those kiddos while I drove a 40 foot bus around town!! 😮🤦🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️

I was working over 20-30 hours a week, someone in control of my schedule, making hourly pay that differed depending on whether I was driving a regular route or a field trip.

It was the first time in my life that I could Pay the exact minimum on all my bills, and still go out and grab Chinese food every friday for me and the kids. Then on Saturday’s we would hit up the clearance section at Walmart or shop around Goodwill( nothing wrong with that because I love the great finds), and I really thought to myself if it stays like this forever, I would be a happy girl. 😬🥴😂😂

Living for a twenty dollar dinner once a week and a five dollar clearance find, but truthfully going home and praying that a tire on my van didn’t pop because I would have no way to pay for it?

𝙄 𝙙𝙞𝙙𝙣’𝙩 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖 𝙨𝙖𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙖𝙘𝙘𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙩.

I truly believe that I was meant to live 🅾🆄🆃🆂🅸🅳🅴 the 🅱🅾🆇! So many people look at me and laugh, I had tons of people tell me that people like me would not be successful, yet here I am!

But what I want you to take away from my experience, is if I don’t fit in any sort of 🅱🅾🆇, maybe you do not either!

And if I can do this, then so can you!
