Fitness Coach. Knitter. Girlfriend. Corgi Mom. Taker of photos…but a title I never expected was Step Mom or Bonus Mom of this beautiful girl or her handsome brother. When it happens they don’t give you an instruction manual or a youtube tutorial. There isn’t a “What to expect when you’re expecting step kiddos” book. There isn’t a defining moment where you are suddenly a step parent. It just happens. I’m sure I made mistakes along the way. Step Mom. It’s the title that means the most in my heart. I think I’ve done a good job so far loving and parenting the 2 most amazing kids in my world. I don’t mention it much but I miss them so much when they’re not here. I really do. I am grateful we (the parents) all get along. That was a process over years but we’re there. I, the additional parent get included and I am so lucky.
