Giant Rubber Duck Travels the World.
Dutch Artist Florentijn Hofman, envisioned creating a giant rubber duck traveling across the world putting a smile on to people's faces. And so he did just that.
The duck has already travelled through Osaka and Sao Paulo and is now strolling down the Loire River in France.
This duck is 25 meters tall and wide and was placed there to remind people of the simpler things in life and to evoke happy memories of their childhood. Hoffman believes that this lovable duck with help ease world tension by delighting people of all different backgrounds and countries.
Charlotte Caron: Osmosis between man and animal.
Charlotte Caron, a recent graduate of Fine Arts from Rennes, has already developed quite a solid portfolio. They have been divided into 4 series : Landscape, Portraits, Anatomy and Vanities. Of the four, the Portraits have caused the most stir where Caron takes photos of people and then paints over their faces to create a fascinating hybrid of human and animal.
Speaking to the HuffPost UK, she says: “Everyone wears a mask in society with friends or at work. That was my starting point. But how to show it?
“Two mediums were used: the painting and photography which allowed me to compare two worlds and to create this duality.”
Caron’s intention was to “create osmosis between the two mediums, between the animal and the portrait.”
I wonder if there is any connection to the type of animal she picks for the person. Does she already have an animal in mind that works in unison with that particular person or is it simply what she feels like painting that day?
The more you see the more it moves.
Celebrating 175 years of Hermes: "Forever Leather"
London will have the honor of hosting Hermes's 175th anniversary with their new exhibition "Forever Leather" taking place at 6 Burlington Gardens, W1. (May 08, 2012 at 10:00 – May 27, 2012 at 18:00 )
These four bags will be auctioned at the exhibition and all proceeds will be donated to the Royal Academy of Arts. They are are meant to symbolize England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales.
This exhibition traces Hermes back to when they originally started in the 18th century as saddle and harness makers , up to now as one of the most well known brands in the world. They will have a variety of items from their saddles to scarves to the ever so famous Kelly and Birkin Bag. Alexandra Prat has created a neon Birkin bag just for this exhibition. (as displayed below)
They will also be highlighting the crucially important artists whose meticulous years of training have allowed them to replicate Hermes bags with the utmost quality. This will allows people to see the 'behind the scenes' in the making of the brand.

I agree, I agree and I agree.
Fleggard. Not quite sure what you are trying to sell here.
Hilarious but explicit.
Carine Roitfelds's New Magazine: CR Fashion Book
After leaving Vogue Paris in 2010, Carine Roitfeld is back into the magazine industry but this time with her very own biannual publication called the CR Fashion Book (go figure).
It is to debut in September, selling for $10. She described this project as a 'celebration of fashion and creativity' and will feature story like articles of models, designers, photographers, artists etc.
"I hope people will want to keep it —trendy and timeless at the same time,"-- Carine Roitfeld.
Along with the magazine, Roitfeld will also be launching an online component where she will be sharing teasers and updates on the upcoming issues.
I know I can't wait for my copy!!
"A while back, at the entrance of a gym, there was a picture of a very thin and beautiful woman. The caption was "This summer, do you want to be a mermaid or a whale?" The story goes, a woman (of clothing size unknown) answered the following way: "Dear people, whales are always surrounded by friends (dolphins, seals, curious humans), they are sexually active and raise their children with great tenderness. They entertain like crazy with dolphins and eat lots of prawns. They swim all day and travel to fantastic places like Patagonia, the Barents Sea or the coral reefs of Polynesia. They sing incredibly well and sometimes even are on cds. They are impressive and dearly loved animals, which everyone defend and admires. Mermaids do not exist. But if they existed, they would line up to see a psychologist because of a problem of split personality: woman or fish? They would have no sex life and could not bear children. Yes, they would be lovely, but lonely and sad. And, who wants a girl that smells like fish by his side? Without a doubt, I'd rather be a whale. At a time when the media tells us that only thin is beautiful, I prefer to eat ice cream with my kids, to have dinner with my husband, to eat and drink and have fun with my friends. We women, we gain weight because we accumulate so much wisdom and knowledge that there isn't enough space in our heads, and it spreads all over our bodies. We are not fat, we are greatly cultivated. Every time I see my curves in the mirror, I tell myself: "How amazing am I ?! " Do share if you care."

Chanel: The Little Black Jacket
The iconic black jacket that Coco Chanel made infamous has once again set stage with an exhibition styled by Carine Roitfeld and shot by Karl Lagerfeld. Shot in 6 days with an amazing cast resulting in 113 images, this exhibition celebrated its opening in Omotesando, Tokyo for a 3 days celebration of Karl Lagerfeld's new book " The Little Black Jacket", in which all of these photos will appear. The exhibition will now be moving to London.
What I love the most about this exhibit is how Carine and Karl have managed to gather such a diverse group of people with such strong personalities. Yet the jacket wears the people and not the other way around. It is like a chameleon that adjusts it self to each unique personality but never leaves behind its own oomph factor.
i love i love i love.

I personally love Scarlett Johansson's beautiful Dolce and Gabbana dress.
Also love Rihanna's Tom Ford crocodile applique.
Karolina Kurkova looked like a futuristic goddess ready for a high fashion battle in her stunning Rachel Zoe piece. I think the photo with Rachel Zoe and Karolina Kurkova is quite amusing as you really get to see the height difference between the super model and fashion stylist.
And ofcourse Beyonce's stunning Givenchy trail dropped several jaws that night... including mine.
And last but not least Marc Jacobs stole the show by showing us that dresses were not limited to women.
"I just didn't wanna wear a tuxedo and be boring." -- Marc Jacobs.
All in all I think everyone looked stunning, though there are some celebrities that made me think twice about their outfits.
Kristen Stewart in Balenciaga...was not a fan. The balenciaga shoes are definitely a statement piece but I personally feel like the ensemble did not really work for her. Was also disappointed in Eva Mende's choice in her tangerine Prada dress that I don't think did justice to her slammin' body. Lilly Collins in her Valentino gown definitely highlighted her Snow White role but I feel that dress was a bit too old for her. I loved Leeighnton Meister fuller body in Marchesa but wasn't a great fan of her make up- she looks like she rubbed a bit too much tanning lotion.
