KEW RESIDENCE (2021)
This video is a nicely-made portrait of a home which has evolved with its residents over the past 30 years. It’s particularly worth a watch for lovers of mid-century ceramics, handcrafted tiles, and Japanese-inspired design. It’s also a testament to something which, confoundingly, still seems to escape developers: that existing mature trees on a site are an enormous asset. Buildings almost always can be designed around such landscape features, and are often much the better for it. Photo by Gavin Green, via thelocalproject.
