I just wanted to clear up something, my (abusive ) ex wanted to âtake a breakâ because I said I couldnât take their silent treatment and expecting TONS of nudes throughout the day (at the end I was sending them at work, in public bathrooms , anything to get them to talk back to me because they wouldnât respond unless I did that) so I said it was over, I was tired of being sexualized, (I wonât go through everything but yeah)being told that discrimination against MY religion and race was something their white ass shouldnât âdeal â with and them acting like I was a hero moment for them, I went manic, (first time in my life that I did so), they played mind games, I lost a total of 55 pounds and a shit ton of other things, I got therapy, had MAJOR surgery for my chronic illness and Iâm healing, slowly but surely
I took this photo in the middle of everything, I was fasting because honestly I think I would have thrown it up anyways, but I decided I wanted to go to pride and prove to myself I exist for me, Iâm a gay Muslim poc and I donât exist to be the play thing for a white person who uses me for pleasure and brownie points. I went and experienced something I thought I couldnât do in my wildest dreams.
No white person ever asked me what I wanted, and I just wanted to be able to experience things as they are.
So, I went to my first pride, after being âdumpedâ while fasting. And I did it by myself for myself.
