See, I only date hood. My last man? He never even met his father. Four women, six kids. Three of whom are named after luxury cars.
Ross Gay “Some Instructions on Black Masculinity Offered to my Black Friend by the White Woman He Briefly Dated, A Monologue“ (via mgs-1)
This quote is taken from a speech given by a white woman who defines blackness and what it means to be a black guy. It is extremely offensive and degrading to the black community. It talks about the stereotype of black families being dysfunctional where the children don’t know their parents and have loose morals. I think it is shocking to see how a non-black person defines who is an ideal black guy without having lived through any relevant experiences.
