Tubbo - thought to be Pawn (scratched: weak one, represents infantry) (secretly Queen: power piece, can make or break game). 

The Pawn is the everyday worker; he makes up the bulk of society.

His powers are generic, yet allow him to shape society.

(The Queen is usually the strongest piece on the chess board, but her strength also burdens her. Because of her strength, she is often overused and when taken, the rest of the army has no idea what to do.)

Verbena (healing/protection)

I found it quite intriguing when dream referred to Tubbo as a pawn. I believe he's more the queen than anything else. He's tommy's special piece, If tommy were to lose Tubbo, it would've truly been endgame for him. No more moves.
