thank you for asking!! <3 i'm doing great, i kind of just took an unintentional break from tumblr and honestly it's been working really well for me. i'm extremely introverted so being active on here was usually enough social interaction, but that meant i didn't really end up speaking with anyone which i think wasn't the best for my mental health. thanks to not exhausting myself by constantly running this blog i've been able to actually talk to people without getting 'burnt out' so to speak

i might come back to being active in the fandom later but for now i enjoy the calmness of not doing anything other than retweeting fanart on twt and watching the streams yaknow?

I’ve seen a lot of people talk about Tubbo’s attempts to figure out the culprit as his coping mechanism due to his past of setting aside his feelings, and I agree. 

But I’d also like to say that his attempts at finding the reason for Tommy’s death isn’t just to cope with the death itself, but more importantly, the lack of meaning behind it. The lack of the grandiose “hero’s death”. As Tubbo said, Tommy wasn’t one to go out without a bang, and for him to just die like that? It doesnt make sense. So Tubbo looks for a deeper meaning, a reason that could prove Tommy didn’t just die a normal death, and he especially didn’t die for nothing.

This is a common thing in grieving in general. When we lose someone we ask “why” did they die and we look for a reason, when sometimes there just isn’t. But humans tend to dislike a lack of meaning, especially for things such as life and death, so we keep looking for reasons until we eventually just make them up to comfort us. 

I think Tubbo portrayed this well, whether he was even aware of it or not.

I don’t know. The quest for meaning in the meaningless just struck me during the stream.
