Not dragon related…

BUT.

I am autistic and my special interest (along with dragons) is domestic dogs and dog breeds. I just saw a Miniature American Shepherd, went up excitedly to the owner, as I don’t see them often, and went “Oh wow! Is that a miniature American shepherd?! They’re gorgeous!!!” And the owner looked at me, and with a very condescending tone went “No, this is a miniature AUSTRALIAN shepherd.” then walked away…

I would honestly rather she slapped me in the face. I’ve never experienced someone falsely correcting me about a special interest in such a rude manner. If she did it differently, I would have been like “oh, she just doesn’t know”, but she was SO snooty about it, and it hurt me???

I feel like I just took critical damage in a video game. I only recently (this past year) accepted my autistic diagnosis I got as an adult. I didn’t know that this could hurt so bad lmfao, and I feel like I’m overreacting… however my (also) autistic partner says I’m not. I just… Oof.

As a kid, I used to keep bones from dinner…usually chicken bones. I’d take them to my room and gnaw on them, not really thinking about why, just following an instinct that felt completely natural to me. When I was done, I’d hide them under my pillow.

I think we should normalize talking about these kinds of experiences that felt undeniably right to us, no matter how “odd” they may seem. Especially within the therian community, sharing these memories helps us understand ourselves and each other better.

What are some things you did (or still do) that made you realize you were different?

Is this just a common nonhuman experience? I didn’t realize others did this too tbh lmfaooo-

I didn’t hide them underneath my pillow, but I did keep pork rib bones in my room after I gnawed all of the meat off them haha.

I must say… (HOTD Spoilers Ahead!)

Gotta say… After watching the most recent episode (Season 3 Episode 4) Caraxes has become my favorite dragon in the show. The way he gets sassy with Daemon is amazing. Those two compliment each other so well.

I supposed I just can’t help but adore a fellow dragon with a strong personality as one myself.

I wish that instead of a normal human bed in my room, I could have a really large warm rock to sleep on. Aaa that would be so nice…

Excited for a new Spyro game!!!

I am SO hyped for the new Spyro game. I am looking forward to playing it when I’m able! I might go back and play the trilogy in the meantime while I wait for spring 2027!

Honestly? Old surgical tools hfosjfofnsjcjs-

I recently acquired some old bandage scissors, and every time me and my mate go antiquing, I am on the look out for any clamps, bone saws, syringes… anything I can get my claws on tbh.

Not the typical dragon hoard, but I love it haha.

Slumber is very important to me as a dragon. It allows me to self regulate and is a very comforting/relaxing activity for me.
