Summary:Reader(you) is jealous of tanjiro because muichiro keeps hanging out with tanjiro instead of them and even thought you are his significant other, when confronted by tanjiro infront of muichiro you say you aren't jealous but tanjiros nose says otherwise, after tanjiro leaves Muichiro makes it up to you by taking you to your favorite ramen place(if you don't like ramen you can change it)

(since tanjiro can probably your smell emotions too like he did with shinobu)

(Reader is also a hashira)

Okay so I randomly posted this because I'm bored so I'm not really expecting alot of people to like what I make since idk how to do all this since I'm new and I won't be posting often this will be pretty short I'm sorry about that but this is my first time ever making one anyways ( 'this' = means talking/shouting etc. )

(Im still new to all these options and stuff so my letters and things will be plain since I'm still trying to understand the controls rn and this timeline will not match with the original timeline so basically non of this is canon or in the right timeline/or this never happened)

In the beningging _______________________________

While having a conversation with muichiro in sword Smith Village, muichiro suddenly spots tanjiro and muichiro being muichiro calls for him "Tanjiro!! " as muichiro called for him Tanjiro looks at the direction of where he heard his name upon seeing who called for him he smiled and signalled for muichiro to come over, without thinking twice(without asking you or bringing you with him) Muichiro ran over to Tanjiro and they started talking. You of course knew this would happen so you just followed muichiro knowing he won't ask you to come with him.

While they were talking you couldn't help but feel jealous and insecure of how much attention Tanjiro was getting from Muichiro, and it didn't help that Muichiro was oblivious to your jealousy and insecurities, it just hurt you more, Tanjiro being the good sniffer he is could smell your jealousy and he understood and felt that you had a right to be jealous since nobody would like it when their significant other is giving more attention to somebody else. Tanjiro wanted you to feel less jealous so he just asked you. "(Name) are you some how jealous of how bias muichiro is to me? " both you and muichiro were caught off guard by what he said but quickly regained their composure back, "What? Of course I'm not jealous" even though you knew damn well you were jealous of Tanjiro. Tanjiro knows your lying but decides not to push you any further. You were zoning out for a couple of minutes. "Ame)" "(Name) " "(Name)! " upon hearing your name you come back to reality realizing that Tanjiro and Muichiro have been calling for you for the past 5 minutes "ah I'm sorry I was zoning out" you say embarrassed "ah well I'm gonna take my leave now see you later, Muichiro and (Name) " Tanjiro says leaving you all alone with muichiro. "(Name), we're you actually jealous of Tanjiro because of how much attention I was giving him?" Muichiro said bluntly, upon hearing those words you get embarrassed realizing he never forgot what happened earlier. "Well, I suppose so" you say shyly, "anyways!! I'm hungry why don't we got something to eat" You say quickly changing the topic, "Okay, where should we go? " Muichiro asks, you thought of the perfect place to get food and ding! ding! ding! "What about my favorite ramen place!" you say as your excitement is clear "okay let's go"

Short of breath, Scaramouche's eyes paced back and forth, from one direction to another, rapid blinks in between.

He clicked his tongue in annoyance.

He has very little time to seal the game. What's worse, it's the opponent's ball right now. They're at a disadvantage. If someone from the other team manages to score, it's all over.

They're going to lose. Even in his last game.

He could hear the roaring drums from the two cheering teams. He could hear the clashing cheers from both sides. He could hear the narrations of the game commentators.

Hell, he could even hear his own heart.

It was beating—no, it was ringing. Whether it was due to adrenaline, exhaustion, or anxiousness, he couldn't tell.

He took deep breaths. Get your head back in the game, stupid.

He was near the mid-field line, making his position decent. He was quite confident in his ability to make himself available for both options — he can aid in defense, if need be, or he can go for the offensive if the ball manages to get near the goal.

Everyone in the field, including himself, is already exhausted. Every single one of them is running on adrenaline alone.

"Fuck," he uttered once he noticed that TNU's ace and forward, Xiao, has already managed to position himself near the penalty area. "You better fucking stop him, Heizou."

As if Heizou heard his captain's orders from a distance, he dashed, speedily locking on to the teal-haired male. "No you don't."

"Calm down. I don't even have the ball yet," Xiao replied.

Heizou could not help laughing at how one of Xiao's teammates attempted to pass the ball to him moments after he just said that.

"'Yet?' It's not 'you don't have the ball yet'." He flashed a smile so warm yet so sinister. "You won't even be touching it."

Xiao moved, intending to receive the pass. Heizou did too. Xiao sped up, Heizou did too. Xiao blocked Heizou with one arm as he ran, the other did too.

"You're annoying."

"Well, thank you." Heizou grinned. "It's my job to annoy strikers, you see."

"You're doing a very good job."

"You're really flattering me here, you know. I'd blush if you weren't my opponent."

Despite a certain someone making it hard for him, Xiao had managed to make his way near the ball. 'Only a hair's breadth away,' he thought. 'I can reach it.'

A much more solid block from Heizou.

Then a heavy, foreign-sounding, decisive step.

In the blink of an eye, Xiao's clear view of the ball was replaced with a blinding scene — one that radiated of long, golden hair. The only thing that came between him and the goal that he was so close to scoring.

"I'll be taking this now, ace," Aether declared with a smirk. "I'm afraid our captain wasn't really blessed with patience."

Heizou beamed. "Nice save, Ae."

The blonde nodded in response.

Scaramouche, being aware of what had just transpired, positioned himself a little closer to the area where he knew it'd be possible to for him to score.

It was a little farther, yes. But he trusted in Aether and his ability to send him the ball, wherever he is.

"Scara!" Aether's yell pierced from across the stadium, followed by a resounding noise from the intensity of his kick. The crowd collectively gasped in awe; eyes locked onto the ball that is now spiraling from one side of the field to the other.

Scaramouche leaped into the air, flawlessly cushioning the ball with his torso. "Good fucking boy," Scaramouche whispered with a grin.

Scaramouche could not feel nor hear nor see anything else, except himself, the ball, and the goal. He was now on the left side of the penalty area. He swore he managed to pass by a man with teal braids who tried to block him earlier too, but everything was a blur.

All he knows is he has to get this one shot in.

Looking as big of an annoyance as ever. The dependable captain of the other team. The notable and talented goalkeeper. His greatest obstacle.

Without hesitation, Scaramouche swiftly positioned himself and got ready to pass, alerting the other defenders, and even the goalie. Even Aether prepared himself to receive it.

Scaramouche hit the ball, causing it to roll in Aether's direction, who was at the right side of the penalty area.

The defenders flocked to where Aether was, ready to block the ball once it reaches them.

Kazuha shifted a little to the right, in anticipation for what Aether might do. Scaramouche caught it.

The raven-haired man took a deep breath, then forced his body to move lightly and quickly, barely managing to catch up to the ball that he kicked himself.

Kazuha's eyes widen upon realization, scrambling to get to the opposite side of the goal. But it was too late.

Cheers were chanted. Drums echoed, and crowds roared.

His teammates were running towards him.

goal 28: we aren’t a couple

It was mostly your voice that filled the silence between you and the man beside you. Some effort from him was apparent though, as seen with his occasional quips and playful remarks. Truthfully, it wasn’t that he was lazy to retort, or that he had nothing to say. Rather, it was just that he had much more to listen to than tell.

Scaramouche swore he would never tell anyone, but he loved listening to the little parts of you — the little parts of your day, the cute memories you have, all the stories you had for him. He loved reading your daily messages, of course. But nothing can ever compare to how much he loves hearing your voice as you talk comfortably with him.

Your steady footsteps as you continued to freely tour around Scaramouche’s campus came to a stop when you felt a cool fabric suddenly sit on your shoulders. A navy blue varsity jacket with white sleeves.

The representative colors of Scaramouche’s own university.

“Why are you putting your jacket on my shoulders?” You rambled as you walked. “For your information, I am not a clothing rack.”

“You really are stupid.” Scaramouche playfully flicked your temple. “I’m giving you my jacket because it seems you aren’t even aware that you were slightly shivering.”

“Kuni, you’re also stupid.”

“What?”

“‘Giving’ is when you’re handing something to someone without planning to get the item back. You should call it ‘lending’ instead.”

“Who said I had plans to get my jacket back from you?”

“Huh?”

“I want you to keep it.”

“But this is your varsity jacket! You use this in games, don’t you?”

“Well, yeah. But I have lots of those, so don’t worry.” He said as he lightly rested his arm above your head.

That was now the second jacket of his that he asked you to keep.

Matching his footsteps with yours, he came to a halt when you did. “Can we sit there, Kuni?”

Scaramouche’s eyes followed to where you were pointing. It seemed you were talking about the several benches in the wide field located in the heart of their campus. He was about to nod when a certain information he recalled reading on an online thread during freshman year suddenly flashed in his mind.

“Absolutely not,” he frowned as he crossed his arms.

“What?” You whined. “But my feet are killing me!”

“There’s a saying about these benches.”

“Really?”

“Mhm. People say that couples who sit together on these benches will break up.”

“But we aren’t a couple…” You trailed off, seeing Scaramouche’s mood subtly going down due to your words. He always had an honest face.

You cleared your throat. “Well then, just to be safe… Why don’t we sit on the grass instead?”

You see the corners of his lips curve a little.

“Okay, let’s do that then.”

You both continued with what you were doing prior to seating on the field. You talked and talked, and he listened and jested. As much as you loved how genuine of a listener he was, you craved more of his voice and stories.

“I’m actually starting to think this is unfair, Kuni.” You feigned a frown. “Why am I always the one who does the talking?”

“Are you getting bored of me now?”

“What? No!"

“I just… Isn’t there anything that you want to tell me? Open up or talk about or share? Anything at all?” You tried to keep up with his stare. “I just feel bad that I am always the one that does the ranting and you always listen, but I can’t even repay you by lending an ear.”

He avoided your gaze. “You being there for me always is enough,” Scaramouche uttered lightly, enough for you not to hear. Instead, he just let out a deep sigh. “Okay then. It’s my turn, I guess.”

You smiled, thinking he was going to start light.

You thought wrong.

Scaramouche immediately started with how his coach — which was also his mother — was harsher on him than on the other members of the team. Harsh trainings, hectic routines, and high expectations seemed natural to him. You even began to contemplate whether what you’re hearing is still a relationship of a mother and a son, or that of a tenacious coach and her promising trainee.

“She wasn’t always like that though,” he said softly. “Believe it or not, I have memories of when she was so gentle and loving with me.”

“She only started becoming like that when I became firm with my decision of being a soccer player.”

‘But was that even enough for her to change so drastically?’ You thought. Maybe there’s another reason?

“It would’ve been easier for me to hate her if I didn’t have any fond memories of her, don’t you think?”
