Brows scrunch up in confusion, before; “ Are you deaf, Potter? ” Draco says back quickly, “ I already said we use yours. “ He scowled back , letting a soft sigh float out of his lips and raising a hand up to his forehead to rub at his temple. He couldn’t wait for class to be over, he had a free period for the rest of the day and could finally catch up on some light reading.

Now that their speech was finished all that needed to be done was to hand it up and their finished brew which was currently cooking alongside everyone else’s from the class. All they could do was wait.

Not wanting to sit in silence for the last half an hour of the class , Draco pressed his lips together in a tight line. He could make conversation but that would risk Potter thinking they were friends now they had successfully completed an assignment together.

“ What are you doing the rest of the day? ” Hopefully Potters thick head wouldn't think that was an invitation to hang out together.

❛ right . ❜ harry was awful at making small talk , especially with a boy who --- through almost all his years at hogwarts --- has reveled in making his life more complicated than it already was. despite the battle being long over , previous opinions remain unaltered ; that is , unless the slytherin gives harry a reason to change that now ( albeit highly unlikely ).

their brew is achingly slow to complete , & he dreads the minutes that pass on by. eager to leave & be on his way to gryffindor commons , he decides to take draco’s comment as a suggestion to stay quiet ; just wait until all is finished. clothed arms cross gently across chest , fingers briefly adjusting crimson collar , & his gaze wanders about the classroom. memories of professor snape resurface , & a twinge could be felt beneath his chest. potions was certainly not the same without the brooding , mysterious professor to boss them around.

but suddenly harry is snatched from his thoughts , thrust forth into reality as draco’s query plays within his mind. bloody hell? ❛ nothing , really . . . ----- why? ❜

I need some snape / harry clashing and yelling and the two bumping heads and trying so hard to be cordial , but snape keeps making remarks about his father and harry keeps coming so quick to the defense of a man he doesn't really know. Harry doesn't know the things his father did to snape as a child and snape getting so frustrated with harry because of his ignorance to things he's never EVER had done to him. Just, give me super angsty snape / harry feels and maybe eventually harry finding out why snape hates him so much .
