writing this here instead of posting it cause i do not have the emotional bandwidth to deal with harassment today;

there's a popular transfem blogger who recently made a post about how nobody likes being a man, how woman is a real gender and man is a state of inertia, strongly implying that everyone needs to become a woman and that the only pleasure anyone could derive from being a man is by oppressing women.

various men described what they like about being a man and she put them on blast without listening to anything they have to say. her idea is that because the things they were saying are not exclusive to men, they must think women are two dimensional beings who don't do any of those things.

i bet if she was asked what she liked about being a woman she'd also list a bunch of things that are technically universal but meaningful to her as a woman specifically.

one trans man sent her an ask being like "even though i'm a trans man i actually don't like anything about it, because the only thing all men have in common is benefiting from misogyny' and she was thrilled to have a token trans guy back her up.

so i blocked her obviously but like, now i can't stop thinking about that anon and wondering whether he'd enjoy being a man more if he stopped socializing with people who believe male gender euphoria is either immoral or straight up impossible. he must have liked being a man at some point in order to risk everything to become one..
