Under new management...
“Okay, Red, let’s see what we have.”
Placing a cancer stick between her teeth, bouncing it up and down then finally lighting it; her voice finally heard as she looked at two of her guys…Randy and ‘Mouse’…”Well, we will get our money’s worth for this renovation.” A jovial tone coated her words as she stepped towards the front door reaching the handle then watching as the door fell from the hinges and laughter burst forth from her lips. Broken burnt wood and glass now covered her black heeled boots as she kicked around the debris. Shaking her head at the site of the garage and clubhouse that once stood here proudly as if it was the centerpiece of the city now down to ruin as it had been destroyed by people she cared about and loved…not knowing the whole story behind it all.
Inhaling the grey smoke from her Marlboro, her emerald green eyes looked around as she made her way through the burnt out hallway and as beams laid bare broken or bent hoping something would hold them up. The scene of smoke and fire invaded the senses as she further made her way in shaking her head when she reached the spot when Sin’s Harley had been kept…protected from the everyday life…the gunfire and the blood…a reminder to her of the love she had lost but the spot had been emptied for a while as she had removed it to run it…to make sure the oil had not turned to sludge but it was almost destroyed in all of this chaos.
Taking the last drag of the short cigarette, she dropped it to the floor before stepping on it to snuff it out not wishing to cause another flare up of red hot flames as she heard the sounds of water dripping from the skeletal remains of her home. Yes, this garage and clubhouse was her home even though she did live in her own place but this is where her life was…her brothers were…the drinking, the partying…the business but not now. Kane had to scout around to find a new place for the Eighth to have church, which ended up being her sister’s tattoo shop. She remembers how Sav took the news and laughed softly to herself.
”Really, sis?! Why my shop? Couldn’t they have found another?”
‘No’ was the answer the red head femme had given to her baby sister but the smile on her face told the entire story as Scar had found it funny that her life was now coming into her sister’s. The one that was an old lady to a rival club member but was killed by another…she knew the irony was strong in that situation but also knew how her sister was in pain.
Footfalls carried her further inside as she saw the old bar, now half of it dropped to the floor burnt and turned to ash by the explosion of flames. The red head femme never thought that the way Outkast was destroyed would happen. She always knew someone would try to blow them all to hell and back but not a member’s old lady. A soft chuckle came from her lips as she shook her head…a woman pissed off brings a lot of damage and destruction. As she continued to make her way around, she stepped on the memories of the past knowing a new future awaited them but now it would be a long road to haul as things had changed…and she wasn’t sure how to get everything back on track.
~ Months Later ~
It had been a month since Eighth Sorrow had made their existence known once again…at the base of the Black Hill Mountains as the annual bike run to Sturgis…one week of partying, business and just showing off. It was a great to see the retired, the nomads, and the other chapters show a strong force…letting others know that the Eighth had not died in the rubble of the flames and destruction.
Now music and loud voices invaded her sense of hearing as she took another shot of whiskey watching some guy getting a tattoo from her sister as the other brothers were finding their Mama for the night…it was old times all over again but it wasn’t the same building. It had taken months to get the garage and clubhouse back but now that Lincoln wasn’t the president…it wasn’t the same but she knew that they had to move on expanding and building the other chapters up…especially the newer one on the East Coast.
But Kane…the other elder of the club…was now in command and he would bring back the Eighth to what they were but he also knew that it would take the time they never had before and it would be a slow process…to be done correctly…so the club didn’t implode as it had done before. The keys to Outkast had been handed back to Lincoln to run while the rest gathered business from old friends…territory slowly coming back to them…Messages of dominance given as the bloodied and bruised were the ones that were left to tell the tales of the Eighth’s return.
Under new leadership but open for business.
[ The term Mama is one that the Hell’s Angels use for the women who hang around the clubs. They are not the old ladies of the members. ]
