HEY EVERYONE 👋 👋 I'M BACK LMAO

Like I mentioned in my earlier post, life is really kicking my butt rn with work, travels, conventions and my very own first apartment (!!) to name a few things that have kept me busy busy for quite a while now. I have also been semi-struck with artblock/lack of confidence in my art, but I think my newly aquired obsession with 'Project Hail Mary' (and seeing all the stunning fanart of it) made me realize that the issue might have been less that I was lacking confidence, and more so that I was growing bored of my up-til-now determination of "only" drawing actual moments from the books as they are written!

With this one (which I have also been trying to draw before multiple times without being properly happy with it) I decided to try and go as insane with it as I could, and I'm REALLY happy with how it turned out 😗🫶💕 I also tried to lean even more into picking contrasting and bold colors off the color wheel, and I'm just??? Yea no I hope this one was worth the wait 🫶🫶

I hope to find more time to draw this summer, but I'm gonna try to focus on coming up with fun ideas and concepts rather than the kind of "quantity over quality" mindset I've had til now. I feel that I have gotten to the point with my skills that it's a lot more specific technical stuff that needs practice rather than just "drawing time" in general, if that makes sense?

Anyway, in the past few months that I have been quite inactive on here I have seen you all like and reblog and comment on a wide variety of my previous works and PLEASE KNOW that I am blown away with how my doodles keep bringing you all joy in this lil fandom of ours 🥺🫶💕 thank you !!

OATHBOUND. just. OATHBOUND. I finally got to finish this beast of a book that had me rolling and giggling and screaming and crying, thank you tracy for the emotional rollercoaster. It's the culmination of Bree's choices coming to a head and facing them head on, even when she feels like its impossible. But she never EVER forgets what she fights for, and thats why she is forever a fav protag 🫶

been thinking about grace and adrian being alike

Was inspired by the wonderful post by @hailed-marys so me and @sam-i-am-27 got possessed by the demons and came out with this.

* Astrophage is more like a virus that either alters people, causing them to commit crimes or violent acts, or a power that supervillains are starting to use.

* Grace is still a middle school teacher who got bitten by the spider, obviously.

* Adrian is the one who stitched up the suit (the Aunt May of this universe).

* He has all the perks of a normal Spider-Man, but he's still Grace, so he's incredibly clumsy. He does have a super-strong spider sense, and that's what saves him 100% of the time, but he absolutely does not have the agility. When adrenaline kicks in, he can do anything, but otherwise he'll trip over the most ridiculous things.

* He was wearing his yellow raincoat the first time he saved someone, so now he wears it over his suit (along with his white Converse).

* The spider was discovered by SHIELD (which is undercover as a scientific research facility that Grace works for part-time). After the original test subjects (who were only able to survive the spider mutations if they possessed a specific gene) were killed in an attack, Eva delivered the spider to Grace so he could be bitten before other villains got their hands on that power. (My boy gets unwillingly turned into a savior in every universe.)

* Simon is still an ex-convict who, in exchange for his freedom, is asked by the evil company of the day to test a series of mines infected by what appears to be blood from a meteorite (which eventually turns out to be the symbiote Ellie!).

* At first, they wanted to kill each other, but they end up becoming besties.

love designing outfits but keeping them monotone has always been a struggle for me, so for harrow i focused more on shapes and textures. i like her in structured, top-heavy silhouettes!

there's also a part in htn (the ball dream sequence) about the aunts repurposing her ancestors' old clothes for her so i kept that in mind for some of her outfits...jacket cut and laced back together to become adjustable, ruching to fake more volume or maybe hide holes in tattered thin cloth, etc :')

trying to explain the tlt relationships to people is like. okay so jesus is in love with a genocide baby haunted by mother mary in a sword and mother mary had an affair with the angel gabriel and also stole a sperm from god with a capital G by having his angels have a threesome with him and also lesbian cain and abel are there and cain is in love with the genocide and sort of abel too. on the normaler side we have the don quixote girl who is in a pride and prejudice situationship with a librarian and his guard dog
