“None,” she said, shooting him a look that could kill.Leon pretended not to notice. Instead, he extended his hand.

A new song began, slow, soft, the kind that made couples drift toward the dance floor without thinking.

“Dance with me?” That caught her off guard. She hadn’t even fully processed what he said, and yet, her hand was already moving, slipping into his. Traitorous body.

And then Leon was there.

Leon was breathing a little heavier too, controlled, but not unaffected. His gaze dropped to her face, assessing… and then lingered a fraction too long down her body.

“You were saying?” he asked, voice quieter now.

Amelia swallowed, feeling a heat down between her legs, goddamnit.

“I said,” she started, then stopped, because wow thinking was suddenly difficult, “by the end of 2026, you’ll have a ring on your finger. Whether you like it or not.”

Leon let out a soft, incredulous huff, something between a laugh and a sigh.

“Yeah?” he murmured softly, his grip didn’t loosen. If anything, it adjusted, like he was making sure she couldn’t slip away.

Something shifted in his expression. Something… warm and dangerous.

Elpis Awakened (Elpis? More Like Helpis)

Heeeeey, so instead of updating my ongoing fics I decided to make a new one!

This is duo to my recurring obsession with Resident Evil and most importanly Leon S. Kennedy. Aging did not stop me from thirsting all over but also the angst was soooo good. And I wanted to give my boy a happy ending and fuck the goverment.

Summary: 

Amelia Sterling, a 23-year-old from 2026, is enjoying a peaceful self-care weekend and the latest Resident Evil 9 game when a sudden, blinding burst of light pulls her into another dimension. Initially disoriented, in her pink pajamas and bunny slippers, she finds herself in the middle of a city, colliding with Claire Redfield and coming face-to-face with a visibly older, battle-hardened Leon Kennedy.

Before she can fully process what’s happening, a holographic figure of Oswell Spencer appears, addressing her by name. Spencer’s AI legacy, Project Elpis—which was apparently more than just a cure—has chosen Amelia as his heir to continue his mission to prevent global bioweapon tragedies, tragedies he himself began.

Fanfic words vs. Book pages

Okay, as someone who reads a lot of fanfiction, I always get frustrated not knowing how much I have actually read because how much is 100k words, really? So, I decided to check and convert the number of words we read in fanfic to the amount of pages that would be as a book.

I did a little research and there isn’t a specific number of words per page in a book because it varies on the size of the page and the font and size of the font used but from what I gathered, a page of a book goes between 250 to 400 words. 

For this, I decided to go with 350 words per page because it’s a high number, which meant that the numbers below are the minimum pages that they represent.

So, if you read a fic with:

25k words, that means you have read, at least, 71 pages of a book.

50k words, it means that you are 143 pages into a book.

100k words, is 286 pages which is already a decent sized full book.

150k words, is around 429 pages which is already a pretty big book.

300k words is the equivalent to 857 pages, this amount of pages are basically a Game of Thrones book. You know… the massive ones that if you throw at someone’s head it’s probably gonna do some damage.

As someone who rarely reads over 50 pages of a book in one go because I get a headache, it’s interesting to realize that I have read entire novels in one sitting.
