husband just reminded me of that time years ago when we were running a co-op farm in stardew valley

after we got married in-game it did the thing it does and asked us if we wanted to have a baby

we were like yeah sure why not, we're not having kids irl so may as well have a cute lil' virtual baby that costs us nothing and we can turn into a dove at any time

like the very next day we got that super rare 0.8% chance event that we had NO CLUE ABOUT where a freaking alien capsule drops on your farm in the middle of the night and the next day it's like shattered and whatever was inside is running loose

and we just froze and looked at each other like "??? is this our baby???" 😭😔

yeah dude you have to pay for access to a specialist’s information. that’s a lot of labor you’re demanding

you can absolutely get high quality online lessons on things like menswear drafting and couture tailoring. just not for free

if you don’t want to go the paid labor route, try books on exactly that from a library. there are free recommendation lists

I once said “thank you” in Arabic to a chef at a restaurant I was at, because I knew he was from Morocco. He reprimanded me about as sharply as anyone ever has, saying he didn’t care to be thanked in the language of his oppressor. Because he was an indigenous Amazigh person.

For anyone who’s confused that one of the Amazigh gentlemen featured in this video is a redhead, note that red hair shows up in indigenous North African populations. And ofc he’s speaking French because the French colonised Morocco—obviously centuries after the Muslim Arab conquests and migrations.

So, in Morocco, you get ethnic Arabs being oppressed by French colonisers, but they themselves were colonisers and settlers. Because history is messy.
