Scarlet (スカーレット, Sukāretto) is an informant for the Phantom Troupe who is primarily known through the false identity of Echo Sapphire, the first Mafia Donna in the Ten Dons and Boss of the Sapphire Family. The Sapphire Family is most notable for owning Sapphire Entertainment and the finest gemstone mines on the Yorbian Continent, including the world’s only ”blood sapphire" mine.
As Echo Sapphire, she is publicly recognized as CEO of Sapphire Entertainment and a semi-retired classical musician/singer, a career she pursued in order to infiltrate the Sapphire Family for revenge. Using the family name, Scarlet now operates an empire training femme fatales with the sole purpose of dismantling the human trafficking rings running rampant through the Yorbian underworld. In the time between the events of the Yorknew City Arc and the Succession War Arc, Scarlet becomes the first woman to sit among the Ten Dons. In filling one of the vacancies left in the wake of the underground auction massacre and the previous leader’s assassinations, Scarlet undertakes tremendous responsibility as both the Ten Dons and Underworld rebuild. This appointment helped bring the now prominent ‘young money’ families to power, strengthening her position in the council.
