Alluka had heard all sorts of interesting stories from her brother Killua’s travels. They were all so interesting, that she had thought of them when she began traveling with Killua. She’d even met one of his dear friends, Gon! He had been so nice, and Alluka was so glad that she and Nanika had been able to help him before. It made her feel good, to help others, especially her brother.
Yet, suddenly appearing in this strange city like she had, all her dreams of traveling with Killua had come to a halt. The realization hadn’t set in yet, but, just being in the city was enough to upset the sheltered girl. She didn’t understand why she was here at all, and neither did Nanika. It was far too confusing, and far too strange for the poor girl.
Still, given her curious nature, she still wandered about the town, searching for anything familiar. After walking around for a bit, she saw a (normal) man in the distance, and began to walk toward him. But, what she stumbled upon was not a man she recognized, rather, one that made her stop in her tracks with his words.
"… Huh?”
Attack him? She wouldn’t — couldn’t, really — do anything like that. Not even if she wanted to. And why would she? She’d never met him before, and certainly hadn’t done anything for her to be mad at him.
"Oh, no, no! I.. Uhm…”
How did she go about explaining that she was lost in a town full of zombies, and was told she was dead? That concept was not one she’d even been able to fully grasp yet.
┈「 ❦ 」┈ ➤ He would have offered a less threatening introduction if he wasn't in this unexpected situation. Dying and ending up in a place that couldn't be considered the afterlife, he was displeased by the lack of information in his head. What was going on here? The stuttering voice caused him to turn around and face the stranger. When his eyes connected with blue ones, his assumption that the voice belonged to a young girl was proven correct. If this was hell, then it was strange for someone like her to be present. The innocence reflected in her brilliant eyes proved she was not someone like him. "I apologize. I assumed you were sneaking around and planning on harming me." Hopefully his apology would calm her down and make him seem less intimidating. It would be difficult to talk to her if she grew afraid of him.
It was unlikely for her to know the answers to his questions, but it was worth a shot. "Do you know where we are? Did you arrive here after dying as well?" There was no gentle way of asking her the latter question. Even if there was, his blunt nature prevented him from being delicate with his words. If the answer truly was yes, then it would suggest that this place was the afterlife; and that she had accepted her demise. Gazing into her eyes, he had a feeling that she was not completely aware of her predicament. It was harsh, but she had to accept her fate in order to survive in this place; and in order to move on.
