Wanda in age of ultron is peak
I know this might not be everyone’s take, but I’ve never fully connected with Wanda’s portrayal in WandaVision. It leaned heavily into sitcom aesthetics and nostalgia, and while that worked for the story they wanted to tell, it isn’t the Wanda I fell in love with.
For me, Wanda in Age of Ultron felt different.
She felt emo. Goth. Intense.
Rock and metal music energy.
Horror-movie comfort.
Heart on her sleeve.
Deep in her emotions but not afraid of them.
She wasn’t just “wearing black.” She was mysterious. Creative. Thoughtful. A little chaotic. She found beauty in things people ignored or feared. That includes Natasha and her past.
That’s the Wanda I like .
To me, Age of Ultron set her up as someone deeply emotional but sharp. Observant. Individualistic. Non-conforming. She carries grief openly. She doesn’t pretend to be light if she isn’t. She feels things fully and lives inside those feelings without apology.
That version of Wanda makes sense with Natasha. Nat is controlled, guarded, strategic. Wanda is emotionally literate, expressive, and unafraid to sit in the dark parts. She sees beauty in broken things. She doesn’t flinch at Natasha’s past. She leans toward it and says, “I see you.”
This isn’t about aesthetics. It’s about worldview.
My Wanda is:
Creative and intense
• Deeply compassionate
• Emotionally articulate
• Non-conformist
• Drawn to art, music, horror, and the misunderstood
• Strong enough to love someone complicated
