“Yes, I did hear you were quite useless, unable to even kill a mere cub properly, allowing little Simba to grow up and overthrow you?” She gave a devilish grin her father’s way, knowing just what to say to piss him off, she thrived off negativity from others so this was the best way to do it.Â
“I’m quite glad my mother told you I was dead, I could only imagine what growing up raised by a failure would feel like.” She stated, a low growl emanating from her, the scar that decorated her right eye almost emphasised as she narrowed her eyes into a glare. “I don’t want anything from the likes of you, I just figured you should know I existed.”Â
An insolent little cub she was, it seemed. No surprise, considering her mother, half her blood coming from the deranged hyenas he’d had working for him. Traitorous little shits. Perhaps he should take it out on his offspring; she was one of them. Perhaps her death would be retribution enough to calm his spirit for now. But instead he laughed. Oh, did she think she was getting under his skin? He’d been playing the same game for far longer, and he hadn’t gotten as far as he did by being browbeaten by children.
“Your mother was a failure and so it seems she imparted all her wisdom upon you. Unless you’re claiming you now rule over Pride Rock?” he asked, expression questioning. “There, I know you exist and as soon as you’re out of sight, I’ll put the information where it belongs - out of my mind.” He waved a hand as if to dismiss her. Foolish child, to think she could antagonise him.
