Magdalena sat in the music room, one hand strapped intently around the neck of the guitar her brother had gotten her for thirteenth birthday. You could still see the tinkerbell stickers that she initially plastered over the face. After the loss of him, Magdalena held onto every piece of him that she could. In a way, playing that guitar made her feel closer to him. Her fingers gently strummed before her soft voice began to harmoniously begin her music, the one song that they used to listen to on repeat for hours growing up. “Come stop your crying It will be alright. Just take my hand, And hold it tight. I will protect you From all around you. I will be here, Don’t you cry. Cause you’ll be in my heart. Yes-” She stopped abruptly when she heard the door handle wiggle, her head snapping towards the door. “Excuse me, can’t you see someone’s in here?” She spat out.

a chuckle escaped the boy’s lips as her entered the music room and heard the word’s that left her mouth. “did i forget that you owned the building? i must of missed that one.”  he shook his head before moving further into the room, continuing his search for his missing text book. “you act like i’m going to care if you continue to sing or not.” he shrugged his shoulders before starting to search through the cabinets against the wall, completely turning his back away from her.

      𝑬𝑽𝑬𝑹   𝑺𝑰𝑵𝑪𝑬   𝑯𝑬𝑹   𝑭𝑰𝑹𝑺𝑻  day  at  the  university  ,  she’d  been  curious  about  the  history.  she’d  often  wonder  if  he  really  did  it.  nikita  opened  her  eyes  &  leaned  closer  to  the  other  to  ask  a  question  :  “ i know this is completely random and out of no where , but . .  ”  she’s  reminded  of  the  mass  text  that  went  around  just  a  few  days  prior.  the  knot  in  her  stomach  hadn’t  loosened  since  she  read  it.  her  voice  drops  even  quieter.  “do you think it’s natalia ?  ”

sebastian looked over at her, replaying her question in his head a few times before finally working out an answer. “my ex girlfriend? do i think she’s behind some treacherous account trying to scare us by threatening our secrets? is that what you’re asking me?” he questioned, though his words were stone cold. “no, i don’t.”

ANGER  PULSATED  IN  every  single  one  of  her  veins  .  her  sister  was  dead  &  the  man  ,  no  boy  ,  who  did  it  was  behind  bars  .  rightfully  so  ,  she  didn’t  understand  why  they  had  to  reopen  the  case  .  it  was  done  .  she  wanted  to  scream  ,  she  wanted  to  cry  ,  but  to  be  caught  as  anything  but  strong  was  not  an  option  ,  so  she  moved  ,  running  the  field  .  it  didn’t  matter  that  she’d  called  cheer  practice  in  an  hour  ,  it  didn’t  matter  that  she  had  a  lecture  in  two  hours  ,  she  needed  to  not  be  reminded  of  her  sister  .  but  she  couldn’t  help  it  ,  out  of  breath  she  stopped  .  hands  pressed  into  her  knees  as  she  regained  her  breath  .

sebastian was minding his own business, running the track to try and clear his head seemingly trying to get his mind off natalia all the the same time. he looked over and his attention fell on a figure hunched over on the field. he was intrigued and confused all at the same time, letting his legs carry him over to them. “hey.” he said softly, soon realizing that the figure on the ground in front of him was actually harmony. “what’s the matter, did someone steal your pom-poms?”

about:

sebastian and his brother grew up rather spoiled since their father inherited a multi million dollar hotel business from their grandfather. 

from a young age his father was always encouraging seb to go into law (in case he ever needed legal help) and though it was forced upon him, it turned out he was actually pretty good at it. 

when he wasn’t studying (which was a lot) he was definitely the wild child. starting fights, getting into trouble, getting wasted at parties. but the boy had money and he grades never really suffered so they let him slide. 

most of the time his father was busy working and his mother would give him however much money he requested so he’d go away and not have to dealt with. though he was still required to show up to whatever hotel events, galas, or charity auctions that required strong family representation. they couldn’t been seen as less than perfect when they were all together.

his brother was the golden child and it was pretty obvious that his mother favored him. she’d increase seb’s allowance just so he’d leave the house or not bother her. she didn’t see any good in him and sebastian could always feel it. 

he didn’t let it bother him, or tried to. he made the most of what he was given, never having to deal with family other than out in public gave him more time and freedom to spend on his friends and of course a hook up or two. 

now he’s off at school away from his family, and though he still has access to the cash, you can bet he’s still going to live fully as his cocky charming self.

he met natalia during his freshman year, something about her just made her stand out to him. she was different than a normal hookup and for some reason he actually found himself having real conversations with her and not hating it. though they didn’t actually get together until sophomore year.

being her boyfriend meant she was a prime suspect for a while, especially with the girl’s body still missing. eventually though the cops figured they got everything they needed from him.

now that she’s gone he doesn’t see himself getting back into another long term relationship, but he wouldn’t turn down someone to take his mind off the case resurfacing.
