Violet could feel the grass on the parts of her legs that were not covered by the picnic blanket as one hand reached for a single grape neatly packed in tupperware container, brown eyes focused on the sketchpad resting on her lap. The sketch she had been working on for the past hour was nearly finished, depicting the cherry blossoms nearly finished, neatly shaded with pencil and lacked of color. If inspiration happened to find her once she got to her studio, perhaps she could transfer the sketch to a canvas, let the oil paints she hadn't touch in weeks finally see the light in hues of pink but for now, this would suffice.
Just as she was doing the finishing touches of the nearest tree, detailed as ever, she sensed a presence on her side and she stopped her task, turning to grin at the other. "Enjoyin' the day?" she questioned before pointing at the picnic basket near her legs "Wanna join me? I packed way too much food— even got some fresh fruit from the farmer's market 'cause I need to learn to say no. It's good don't get me wrong but there's no way on god's earth I'm eating all that by myself."
adiya had taken the day off, she needed a break, she was sick of staring at her screen. she'd taken her dog, cooper, down to the local cherry blossom festival; it was one of her favourite times of year, adiya was definitely a spring girly. the pair wandered, watching people, enjoying things, adiya was starting to think that she should've brought some drawing stuff down, but she couldn't really draw.
she approaches a familiar face, watching as violet drew, "i'm digging your drawing, it looks good" adiya says. she nods in reply, "yeah, i am, brought coop down to enjoy things too, how about you?" adiya gives the other a smile. her face brightens up more, at the mention of food, "sure, that sounds fun, you don't mind if cooper tags along? he's fine around food, promise".
